Stayed a few days at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it! Not luxurious but comfortable rooms and very functional indeed, as well as clean. A wholesome breakfast. The restaurant is highly recommended. The owner couple take pride in what they do and one of them is always around to talk to. Walking distance from the kur and the beautiful park. Walking distance from the train station, but trains are not very frequent!

“Clean and Cozy”

Nice place to stay in Bad Bellingen. Located few mins walk from the park this hotel is situated in the center spot of the little town. The rooms are very clean and it looks like they were recently renovated. The hotel has a lovely restaurant which offers fantastic dinner and a nice breakfast.

“Good place for a visit to Basel”

We had a very spacious room in the new part behind the old part of the hotel. So it was very quiet there. Its a good stopover for visit Basel and you don't pay the high rates of Switzerland. The hotel has a excellent restaurant with lot of visitors from Basel.

On the plus side the staff were helpful and the restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the hotel lacked atmosphere and one suspects is mostly used by people on business. The restaurant was busy, a good refection of local support rather than relying on hotel guests. Reasonably priced dishes which the chef was happy to tweak to meet customer’s requests. The rooms are simple but lack any air conditioning which on a hot and humid night was challenging, to say the least.

I chose the hotel because it was a good location for my stopover on the way to Switzerland. Luckily there was still one (free) parking spot available when I arrived. I chose the hotel because it was a good location for my stopover on the way to Switzerland. Luckily there was still one (free) parking spot available when I arrived. Even when the hotel met my requirements, I was a bit underwhelmed with the whole experience. I didn't feel very warmly welcomed when the reception insisted on removing one the duvets from the bed because I had booked a double room with single occupancy. Although probably correct, this never happened to me before. The room was clean and decent with balcony and small bathroom. But for the price I had expected a bit more than a very basic room in the back even when I booked the lowest category. Breakfast was also fairly simple; decent but by no means opulent. I did not try the restaurant in the hotel. Perhaps I should have because I read good reviews of it. All in all, for my stopover it was good choice but as a tourist I would not consider the same room in the same hotel.
