“Wish we had stayed longer”

We stayed here for one night, on 15 July, whilst touring Germany. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming, everything was prepared and she even suggested restaurants in the local town (Nordlingen, which is picturesque) with a map. We stayed here for one night, on 15 July, whilst touring Germany. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming, everything was prepared and she even suggested restaurants in the local town (Nordlingen, which is picturesque) with a map. Our 'suite' was more than that. It was in the old barn which has been beautifully upgraded to a very modern standard. We had a lounge with a kitchen, a balcony, a large bathroom and lovely air conditioned bedroom. It was huge, with a sofa, reclining chair, two TVs (one with Sky sport) and a balcony with a table and four chairs. There was plenty of storage to put your clothes, etc. We didn't do any cooking as we ate out, but everything was there plates, cutlery etc. There was a welcome drink in a full size fridge freezer as well as a coffee machine. You could buy more or store your own. I cannot stress enough just how clean the rooms were. Absolutely spotless. We arrived at breakfast to find a table with our name card on it. I had the eggs which were the freshest and best presented out of the 9 different hotels we stayed in on our trip. My wife had the freshest of fruit, and the coffee was excellent. We couldn't fault breakfast, it was excellent. Overall we wished we could have stayed longer, it would have been a very peaceful place to stay for more than one night. You felt like nothing was too much trouble and the owner and breakfast staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Modern rooms with a touch of county flair”

We stayed here to visit the Geotope Lindle and Legoland. The hotel is amazingly modern and clean and has air-con. The landlady is very charming and offers an excellant breakfast with a wide variety of buns, müsli, cheese, hams, homemade jams and what we absolutely loved the seasonal fruits - we had… lisää

The landlady is very charming and offers an excellant breakfast with a wide variety of buns, müsli, cheese, hams, homemade jams and what we absolutely loved the seasonal fruits - we had lots of different berries :-). Coffee was ok - would have been better though if she had a coffee maschine to make cappucinos.

“Excellent hotel - can't wait to revisit”

We stayed here for 3 nights after a touring holiday of Italy and we are so glad we did. Our room was fabulous - large with all mod cons as expected in Germany & supremely comfortable (especially the bed). We stayed here for 3 nights after a touring holiday of Italy and we are so glad we did. Our room was fabulous - large with all mod cons as expected in Germany & supremely comfortable (especially the bed). There was a mini bar with very reasonably priced drinks (max 3 euros for beers, wines etc) & the first drink each was complimentary. Chocolates were brought to our room one afternoon & there was bottled water & crisps to also enjoy. Electric shutters ensured the room was dark & TV had English speaking channels for news etc. The highlight of our stay was breakfast which was the best we've ever had in Germany (including a stay at the Crowne Plaza Heidelberg!). We had scrambled eggs & bacon cooked to order & the clod table had a wide range of cheeses, hams & also smoked salmon. There was fresh fruit., good quality breads & rolls, cereals, yoghurts, bircher muesli, cakes, croissants, jams etc - everything was top quality. we also booked packed lunch for our journey back to Europort & were not disappointed with this either. We only wished they offered evening meals as we would have loved to eat here then also. The staff were very helpful & friendly & the manageress/owner was absolutely lovely. This will be our first choice when touring again - we were sad to have to leave!!!

“Wonderful small hotel on the Romantic Road”

If you are traveling the Romantic Road in Bavaria, you could not do better than to take a small detour to stay at this delightful small inn. If you are traveling the Romantic Road in Bavaria, you could not do better than to take a small detour to stay at this delightful small inn. From the delicious breakfast with eggs to order--The housemade bircher meusli is the best I've ever had--to the beautifully appointed rooms everything is geared to welcome and comfort you. Pastries to welcome you, a box of chocolates, and a free welcome drink from the well-stocked refrigerator in your room are all part of the experience, carefully orchestrated by the friendly English-speaking operator Manuela Engelhard. I was in the area to research family history in nearby Bopfingen, but would love to come back with more time to explore the area. I will certainly return to this lovely hotel in Kirchheim am Ries. I cannot say enough good things about it. I agree with the other reviewers that you cannot do better.
