“Hidden Gem”

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed here for eight nights in December and absolutely loved it. Breakfast was amazing, especially the bagel and custom omelets. What a wonderful hotel. We stayed here for eight nights in December and absolutely loved it. Breakfast was amazing, especially the bagel and custom omelets. The room was spacious and the patio overlooking the park was amazing. This was the first hotel we requested a crib and actually received it without asking, along with a baby amenity kit. Minibar was quite reasonable as well. The staff spoke perfect English and remembered us from the first night. They were always accommodating and happy to help with any request. Proximity to public transportation makes this hotel an excellent choice in a perfect location in foothills of the Black Forest. There were numerous walking trails connecting the local villages, we highly recommend walking through Etzenrot as well as a trip to Ettlingen or walk to Busenbach.

“Wonderful Spa-getaway!”

We stayed for 2 nights and were VERY happy with this hotel and amenities. Room prices include a 2 day-ticket at the nearby Therme/Sauna, which we visited on day one an thought it was nice. We stayed for 2 nights and were VERY happy with this hotel and amenities. Room prices include a 2 day-ticket at the nearby Therme/Sauna, which we visited on day one an thought it was nice. Also included is the use of the in-house Sauna at the hotel, which I found even better, when we went there on day 2. Really clean, modern and all new, Gym also looked very clean and new. Rooms with view to the park were huge and extremely high tech with everything being touch pads! Pillows and bed comfy, shower was just awesome being a huge rain shower - as good as it gets. Soaps all high quality by L’occitane. Staff was incredibly nice, too. SUPER quite area and a nice park to have a little afternoon walk. Hotel bar allowed smoking their offered cigars, which we also found quite cool and classy. IF there is anything that could be improved - I was a little disappointed by the almost missing fruit at the breakfast. In general everything was available for a European breakfast, just not “crazy good”. But all in all - we were very satisfied and will definitely come back - small things for improvements are really only a suggestions to make this place even better. :-)

“Quiet weekend in the countryside!”

We were looking for a small hotel in the countryside for a quiet weekend away - with walking and proximity to a spa or thermal baths. Schwitzer's Hotel fitted the bill perfectly. We were looking for a small hotel in the countryside for a quiet weekend away - with walking and proximity to a spa or thermal baths. Schwitzer's Hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The rooms are well appointed, the beds extremely comfortable and staff extremely nice and friendly. It was refreshing to have a mini-bar with "normal" prices - although there was no facility to make a hot drink in the room. Breakfast selection was good. We did not dine in the Michelin star restaurant, but we did dine in the brasserie next door and the food and service was superb. We will be back!
