“Quaint, true German experience - don't miss out on this little gem”

This guesthouse was built in 1490! The whole street is just so quaint! The old church is right behind the hotel. We slept with the windows open and enjoyed the church bells. Tamm was such a great area. We rented a car in Frankfurt, but while we were in Tamm we walked down to the train station and took the train over to Ludwigsburg 2 days in a row. The half timbered hotel looks like it belongs in a Disney movie. The couple that runs the hotel were awesome hosts. Dave and Ines took care of every detail. We loved eating breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed a delicious meal of authentic German food in the restaurant our first night. We spent 4 nights and used this as our "homebase" to explore the surrounding area. We had everything we needed in our room. We loved the hot showers with great water pressure. We want to come back during the spring to enjoy the outside garden and the spring volksfest in Stuttgart. This will definitely be our home again our next trip to Germany.

This is a historic hotel restaurant, delicatessen etc in a small old town in the black forest. It's been in the same family for around 200 years. This is a historic hotel restaurant, delicatessen etc in a small old town in the black forest. It's been in the same family for around 200 years. The bedroom was beamed, large and comfortable, quiet despite overlooking road, although there is occasional traffic noise on hot nights with windows open. Restaurant has lovely outdoor eating area. Food is excellent, specialising in local dishes, beautifully prepared in huge quantities, so you will need a large appetite and lots of exercise beforehand if you hope to get through 3 courses. Staff are charming and welcoming, explaining menu etc. We stayed in old part of hotel, which was lovely, but noticed a large newer annexe at the bag but can't comment on that. We will be returning as both food and stay were wonderful.

The Historic Inn "Ox" in the center of the village Tamm, makes a nice impression. The half-timbered building has been restored from the outside and inside. In the main street, near the old town hall and the fortified church, makes a good impression. The hotel rooms are functional and attractively furnished. It looks warm and cozy through the many wood on ceilings and walls. A decent price / performance ratio. Our guests we had stayed there, felt very comfortable. This review is only for the hotel - NOT for the restaurant.

“Suburb of Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart hotel”

Initial views were positive. Old hotel and plenty of character. Alas this turned out to be a very fraught stay. Room was on the very top floor and no lift available due to the age of the property. Initial views were positive. Old hotel and plenty of character. Alas this turned out to be a very fraught stay. Room was on the very top floor and no lift available due to the age of the property. Double rooms are only on the roadside and the Main Street was busy until late evening and from early morning. But the worst thing was the church bells. The church was very close and the bells chimed every 15minutes and on the hour right through the night too. We did not get much sleep and as we had booked for three nights we were very tired when we came to leave. Breakfast was excellent! We would have like the room to have been cleaned well each day and new towels. No towels were given the whole time we were there and they were quire worn as well. Overall not a place we would say we would go back to. If you ewspect your peace and quiet at nighttime this is not the hotel for you.
