“Rural Location”
A lovely quiet rural location. WiFi is a bit patchy but that is not a deal breaker. Beautiful views and very secluded. Great breakfast and very comfortable rooms. A small bar and plenty of parking. Very pleasant staff.

“Quiet out of town hotel”
The Kaltenbach is located nearly 2 kilometres outside the village of Schonwald. There is plenty of parking for the 16 rooms. Reception was very pleasant but entirely in German of which we fortunately speak a little. The rooms were compact but quite adequate and had a shower but no bath. Breakfa… lisää

“Our visit to the Black Forest”
Good clean hotel, excellent food and fantastic location. The owners would do well to address negative points in other reviews, I suspect that they have been running the hotel in the same way for the last 25 years.
