This is conveniently placed between Stuttgart and Affalterbach where I was visiting for a couple of days. I was running late and as their reception closes at 10pm they arranged for me to collect keys via a key safe. I was given a 2 room suite with a large comfortable bed. It had complimentary pretzels, mineral water and good selection of tea and coffee making facilities. It was very quiet and easy to have a good night's sleep. There is a 24 hour honesty bar where you can get drinks (Alcoholic and soft) and snacks together with complementary apples (The region is famous for them) juts pay when you check out. There was enough parking and some outside seating areas which, whilst it is in an urban area, are still very nice. It is quaint and the staff are incredibly friendly, and seem genuinely to care. Breakfast is especially good with a great healthy selection as well as indulgences. Overall a great change from chain hotels. The only criticism is there is not much in the immediate vicinity, to get dinner or a drink, but plenty within a couple of Km

We were visiting Stuttgart for two days and stayed at Hotel Buerkle. The hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood that is very quaint. We were visiting Stuttgart for two days and stayed at Hotel Buerkle. The hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood that is very quaint. The front desk clerk greeted us nicely and we were quickly assigned our rooms. Be aware there is no elevator, so you will be humping your luggage up stairs. Not a negative, just something to be aware of. Our room was very large and nicely appointed. There was even a coffee maker; something I did not expect. Our group of four (two couples) found some local wine for sale in the hotel and settled into a nice set of table and chairs on the grounds to drink it and plan our evening. We asked at the front desk for the best way to go to our dinner location. They gave us some options and we settled on having them order us a taxi. After our dinner and some strolling around window shopping we had difficulty locating another taxi, so we called the front desk. They helped us out again and sent a taxi to collect us. We slept well and enjoyed a terrific breakfast the next morning. If you plan to stay around Stuttgart, I recommend Hotel Buerkle.

“Hidden gem”

Amazing little (actually lots of rooms but seems so small and quaint) with great front desk employee's who lucky for us spoke English. Amazing little (actually lots of rooms but seems so small and quaint) with great front desk employee's who lucky for us spoke English. We were meeting friends there and were told to join them at the continental breakfast. This very friendly service made it easy to decide why not spend an extra day in town. The front desk was able to get my family a room with no reservation. Amazing food my daughter was in heaven with all the meats and cheeses. Even me being a picky eater I was able to find something to eat.

“Perfect hotel for the night”

We received an email that we had to use the keybox because no one would be there upon arrival. We didn't mind that at all. The room is spacious enough, but it was very cold. We received an email that we had to use the keybox because no one would be there upon arrival. We didn't mind that at all. The room is spacious enough, but it was very cold. We drove about 8 hours and arrived hungry but in walking distance you can't find a place that was open at that moment. That was a bit of a bummer, because we didn't wanted to drive to find something to eat. The housebar has some snacks and drinks at hotelrates. For me, but I am not gifted with a very tall body, the mirror was up to high in the bathroom. The interior is very nice, you can't stop looking. I am a big book reader myself so seeing books everywhere is very nice. Breakfast is the most extensive I saw during my vacation. I think they have everything available. The lady of the house was very friendly and spoke very good English. Only thing I am confused about is that she made a remark that she upgraded our room to a room with bathroom because she wasn't there upon arrival. I would never book a room without a bathroom so I hope this was a communication mistake lost in translation.
