“Ideal to relax in style and complete comfort.”

Our aim was to de-stress and relax so this stay was perfect. It’s in a superb location; perched high enough to provide spectacular views across the adjacent forests, lakes and nature reserves. Our aim was to de-stress and relax so this stay was perfect. It’s in a superb location; perched high enough to provide spectacular views across the adjacent forests, lakes and nature reserves. Sunsets and sunrises are therefore impressive given an uninterrupted horizon. Great for cycling, walking/running or simply relaxing in the hotel’s many pools and spa facilities. The food is exceptional (we did the 5 course gourmet menu every night… ), as is the service and the high quality standards and facilities of the guest room (we had a balcony), hotel and its gardens. Quiet (no children spotted, nor facilities provided for) and very pleasant - suiting any couple wanting to unwind or celebrate. It’s not inexpensive however it certainly delivers. We will definitely return.

The Birkenhof Spa & Genuss Resort was an elegant and cozy retreat with first class service and food. I would say the rooms were fine, if not a little basic, but they had lovely balconies with incredible views of the surrounding area. The week I stayed, there was a heat wave and the rooms were a bit uncomfortable because there was no air circulation, even with the patio door open during the night. the property is quite luxurious with several warm pools to choose from as well as a natural spring cold lagoon to swim in. There is also a gym and spa area. The breakfast is quite nice with a wide range of options. There are also many hiking opportunities nearby which are fun to explore. I was quite happy with my stay here and would gladly come again if my travels brought me near this part of Bavaria.

“Nice landscape”

It is a hotel on the top a hill, not that high, where when you get s beautiful day the landscape is truly beautiful. The room is nicely maintained and all amenities ok. Restaurant is nice and even still in Corona time, serving a decent food. In this hote one should stay in as there’s not many alter… lisää

“For solo women not recommended”

Thank you for be your guest because the hotel is in a lovely nature. But the hotel concept isn‘t planned for single ladies who search a few days of silent. There are also Business Meetings for a few days. So are a lot of people in the pool area. It‘s funny for the guests, if you like that.
