“Nice place, and nice location”

Nice place, and nice location. Unfortunately, you can only reach it by your own car. Rooms are small, but comfortable, and silent. Breakfast is ok, and the restaurant is good. Unfortunately, when there are trade shows in friedrichshafen, it's pretty expensive

Our family with 2 small children (1 & 3) stayed for 6 nights in the Aparthotel portion (room 23) of Hotel Gierer and we loved everything about it. The three-room-suite with air condition in each of the rooms (2 bedrooms, living room plus balcony and bathroom with small sauna) was very well appointed, large, extremely clean and in great condition. The beds were very comfortable. To get to the main part of the hotel (including bar, dining room, swimming pool area), one just had to cross the street. The service throughout our stay was impeccable and our children loved the pool area. The daily breakfast buffet with its wide variety of options was an additional bonus. On-site parking was plentiful. We also enjoyed our visit of their affiliated Max & Moritz Gasthaus-Brauerei (brewery) in one of the neighboring towns - great food and views of Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps and nice playground for the kids.

“Enjoyable stay at a wellness oasis”

Stayed in a room on the main level of the Aparthotel part of the hotel facing the street. There is underground parking and an elevator in house. The outside sitting area with basic furniture (2 chairs/table) was surrounded by plants and shrubs, so there was privacy. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. There was a mini-fridge that contained drinks/snacks (at cost). As previous reviewers noted, you will need to bring a coffee/tea maker as none is provided. Room had air conditioning (a/c), however, I could not lower the thermostat below 22 C. Also I was not able to adjust it at night (not even the fan). So, for me that was a slight demerit - I LOVE MY A/C. The outdoor pool oasis was next to the Aparthotel. The setting was exuded bliss and tranquility - with the occasional noise from the local farm (tractors/horses). Plenty of sitting/lounge possibilities. Pool was nice - although a bit small - and not too deep (maybe 4.5-5 feet?). I pampered myself with a spa package - which I enjoyed tremendously. Recommend that you make reservations, though. I did not explore the various saunas, sun deck, and indoor pool (except for a glimpse) which are located in the main house, as it was too nice outside (and warm inside). I'll leave that for another visit, perhaps? The breakfast buffet is in the main house. There are several different food stations throughout the room and a juice bar. Recommend doing a walk through first, to figure out where everything is first before deciding what to eat. As a reviewer mentioned, it also contained an omelette station (and bacon - yum). Server will provide your choice of hot beverage. Front desk staff was courteous when checking in an answering my various questions The hotel is not in a town, but on the outskirts, so having a car is recommended. The purpose of my visit was to relax and that is exactly what I was able to do at Hotel Gierer.
