“Little gem with special ambience and gourmet food..!”

Wow, we came for two nights stay while meeting with friends in Franconia near by, and we already decided to be back once more.. The place is in great progress and have so much potential..!! The rooms are spacious and historic, albeit on simple side. The food was terrific!! (Half board was included)… lisää

Wow, we came for two nights stay while meeting with friends in Franconia near by, and we already decided to be back once more.. The place is in great progress and have so much potential..!! The rooms are spacious and historic, albeit on simple side. The food was terrific!! (Half board was included). The territory is so wonderful - old natural pool, charming Stube house, nice park through the walk, something for kids and adults to enjoy outdoors. The staff is having great attitude, some with more English, some with less, but very carrying and willing to leave you with great emotions. Btw, we haven't asked for extra bed, but they knew we travel with 5yr kid and made sofa-turn-to-bed for him.. nice touch! On the development side - well, the rooms could have a bigger bathroom and A/C, otherwise all was good. Limited cleaning due to COVID, but understandable. Perhaps more water to put in the room and some Nespresso machine would be lovely.

“Beautiful suite”

We stayed for just one night in a beautiful 2-bedroom suite in an out-building of the Schloss. It was incredibly comfortable, clean, and lovely. Breakfast was ample and delicious. We loved being in this quiet, peaceful place and just a 10 minute drive to Bamburg. Great stay!

A very nice surprise outside Bamberg. We could not get a room in town but really enjoyed this hidden gem. Family owned p(a)lace with friendly staff, charming and comfortable rooms, an inviting park with historic natural pool (!) and more to explore. Family owned p(a)lace with friendly staff, charming and comfortable rooms, an inviting park with historic natural pool (!) and more to explore. We absolutely loved to have dinner and breakfast on the terrace. Restaurant has room for improvement but the feeling was great. Rooms in good shape and large enough. Minor tributes to the old structures but so beautiful. Choose 2nd floor. The breakfast is excellent - good selection of high quality food. Super meat and bread. Thanks for a nice time !

“Delightful surprise”

The rooms on the ground floor of the secondary building have been recently renovated and were great, white and modern. Dinner was an absolute highlight, especially for the kids. For an amazing five euros each, they had a starter and a main course of great quality after being greeted with colouring … lisää

The rooms on the ground floor of the secondary building have been recently renovated and were great, white and modern. Dinner was an absolute highlight, especially for the kids. For an amazing five euros each, they had a starter and a main course of great quality after being greeted with colouring materials and a little toy. Dinner was equally enjoyable for the parents, thanks not only to the good, non pretentious, food, but also to the kind service and the overall atmosphere (warm dining area with beautiful lighting). Breakfast was equally strong the morning after, all for prices that were more than reasonable, in fact cheaper than anywhere else we stayed in this trip. Only 15 minutes' drive from Bamberg, so a strong recommendation from me to use this hotel as the place to rest after a day strolling in the beautiful city.
