“Very modern & comfortable in a historic town ”

The hotel is in a historic building (see photos) and has expanded to a neighboring building on the street that has been wholly modernized plus a newly built "pavilion" of 4 rooms in the back where we stayed. (I'm not a wheelchair user so there may i parking lot that's not technically part of the hotel but may be useable, plus to the reception & breakfast room via the main building's back door link to the pavilion). Our room actually was a 2-room, 2-double-bed suite; beds had good, firm mattresses with good, firm pillows (a rarity in German hotels); the spacious bathroom, which had good counter space around the sink, was supplied with another rarity for Germany: washcloths.

“Super food and super service”

The hotel is cosy clean and very nice and the service is super friendly. The food are some of the best I have had, simple and very very good. The hotel is very close to the old town center and it has private parking.

“OK for an overnight stay”

My room was fairly basic, sort of 70s style, clean but uninspiring. Has EV charging but you need your own Type 2 cable. Highlight was the evening meal which was veal with excellent horseradish sauce. Breakfast was OK but unlikely to make one euphoric. Overall a *** experience as classified.

Pleasant small hotel which covers several different buildings. You would check in at one location and maybe cross the street to your room. The rooms are clean, airy, perhaps a little on the small side. It was sufficiently comfortable but because there was only one pillow, I can sleep only on my b… lisää

Pleasant small hotel which covers several different buildings. You would check in at one location and maybe cross the street to your room. The rooms are clean, airy, perhaps a little on the small side. It was sufficiently comfortable but because there was only one pillow, I can sleep only on my back; there were more issues when attempting to sleep on my side. Apart from that and the lack of a safe, it was a pleasant stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would also recommend the hotel restaurant too. There is private parking available, I found it easier to park on the street. Just double check where it’s OK to park as some parking in Alsfeld is paid parking.
