Before travelling, I requested a cot for my baby through Expedia and was told it would be arranged. When we arrived, we were first placed in a room with three single beds, but the staff member quickly changed it and assured us a cot would be brought up soon, which was fine. When we entered the new room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes and the window was broken and stuck open, which felt unsafe with a baby. My husband went to reception, the staff apologised, and we were moved again. The next room was clean and suitable. One night, my baby had an accident on the bed, so my husband asked reception for new bedding, using Google Translate to apologise. He was first given a sheet in the wrong size, then a duvet cover, which we made work for the night after being told housekeeping would replace everything the next day. The following morning, we confirmed at reception that our room would be cleaned. However, when we returned, only the towels had been changed (replaced with just one towel for the three of us) and the dirty bedding was still in the room. As it was our last night, we managed, but it was disappointing. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and the bed was very comfortable, but improvements to housekeeping are definitely needed.

Four nights stay . Hotel in good location right next to main station. We were on the 5th floor room quiet and clean. Downside - you have to request room cleaning daily, unfortunately even though we requested this in the morning, on our return we found it hadn’t been cleaned we had to go down recep… lisää

Four nights stay . Hotel in good location right next to main station. We were on the 5th floor room quiet and clean. Downside - you have to request room cleaning daily, unfortunately even though we requested this in the morning, on our return we found it hadn’t been cleaned we had to go down reception to request clean towels. The same can be said for tea/coffee tray it was not replenished daily. Bar staff very helpful.

“Loud railway air horns at 3am!”

Just spent 3 nights here. The location is great, literally a 2 minute walk from the station. The main issue was the random incredibly loud air horn type sounds emanating from trains at the station throughout the night. Just spent 3 nights here. The location is great, literally a 2 minute walk from the station. The main issue was the random incredibly loud air horn type sounds emanating from trains at the station throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper they will definitely wake you up, and you're on your edge waiting for the next one. My room was facing the station so I guess it's quieter on the other side. Room was largely fine. Two USB sockets by the bed, large TV, rainfall shower, aircon. There's a large patio door sized window that didn't close properly (handle does not turn so no way to lock it shut). Also, I had to have over my passport when checking in, but I'd already checked in via the app and entered the details there. Also, a male someone knocked on the door and barged at 10.30am on checkout day. Assuming housekeeping but check out isn't until midday... So it's ok and the price was good for Gamescom week, just beware those airhorn noises at 3am!
