Negatives its noisy at night if you are staying anywhere new the Bar you can hear the music coming from it upstairs into your room. The pluses are its well priced the staff are very good and the food is great. Negatives its noisy at night if you are staying anywhere new the Bar you can hear the music coming from it upstairs into your room. Also if you stay at the front of the hotel the smokers patio is below your window and you will get the whiff of cigarette smoke coming into your bedroom (i was on the second floor and it was quite strong). But on a budget its a good place clean room and functional - all you need really.

Bedrooms are small and very basic but clean with a small but modern bathroom with walk-in shower. When the shower is in use you cannot get to the basin but as my room was very much a single this hardly matters! Bar can be noisy (lively if you are participating!!) so some bedrooms may be affected especially at weekends. Restaurant food has good choice with salads burgers and platters but is basic fare. Generous portions so you will not go hungry! Would try to find another hotel next time in a more traditional format but here is ok.

“central located friendly personel and good value for this category”

The Hotel is in the centre of the Eifeltown Daun, personel friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and a big variaty. Room was very clean. For a 3 star category it was a very good value and I would go back

Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is located in centre of Daun. The hotelbusiness seemed to come second to the cafe/restaurant/bar business downstairs. No reception desk, check in at the bar. Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is located in centre of Daun. The hotelbusiness seemed to come second to the cafe/restaurant/bar business downstairs. No reception desk, check in at the bar. Bedroom was small, but clean. Same goes for bathroom. Minus: it can be a bit noisy if people start talking in the square (echo's) or in neighbouring room(s). Breakfast was very good, with home-made jams and more than enough choice, not only served to hotelguests but also to local customers who came in to enjoy the breakfast. The cafe/restaurant obviously was a meeting point for the local community. We were on a 'lastminutedeal', half-pension, which included a 4 course dinner with a drink. And it wás a 4 course dinner and a good one too: quality AND presentation of the food was excellent, the cook obviously took pride in her work. There were not stingy with the drink either. Hotel Daun and especially the cook gave us more than enough value for our money.

“Perfect Location”

The location of this hotel is perfect ; close to the parking of the market square and literally meters away from the town's main shopping street. The room decoration is seventies swedish style, somewhat tired, but very clean and useful. The bathroom is very small but as I prefer a shower over a bat… lisää

The location of this hotel is perfect ; close to the parking of the market square and literally meters away from the town's main shopping street. The room decoration is seventies swedish style, somewhat tired, but very clean and useful. The bathroom is very small but as I prefer a shower over a bath, it served its purpose. The fact that there is no reception is somewhat disappointing ; the keys and the check in is to be done in the ground floor bar. Although the staff there was very friendly, they did not speak any english or french, and moreover they were busy with their waitress jobs as the bar was full.
