“Top location, super hotel and fantastic food”

Stayed here during a weeks seminar, super family friendly hotel, nothing is too much trouble. Location is fabulous, picturesque and quaint. Free parking, lovely staff, comfy clean rooms and the restaurant is a gem. Knock yourself out with the culinary delights they have on offer. Overall, top exper… lisää

“Great country hotel, really, really, good food, and cows!!”

Another last minute find on a road trip and it was perfect. The room was comfortable and quite large, with a view overlooking the terrace and the fields with the cows (for us city folk, that was a lot of fun -- the hotel is part of a working farm). Another last minute find on a road trip and it was perfect. The room was comfortable and quite large, with a view overlooking the terrace and the fields with the cows (for us city folk, that was a lot of fun -- the hotel is part of a working farm). Christian, and staff, were really friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent, surprising for a small operation in a not so populated area -- and the restaurant was full (for a weeknight). It was top quality dining in the middle of the countryside. My husband made friends with some cows. And we went for a walk in the evening down the dirt road to look at the stars and a car came up the dirt road on its way somewhere, it was Klaus, the property owner. He gave us the midnight tour of the barn, the cows, the motorcycle, the barn cats, the John Deere tractor and a history of the hotel and the region (and why there are all the wind turbines all over the Hunsruck). It was quite a thrill. Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. We read that there were lots of hiking trails and nature activities in the area, but we didn't get a chance to explore.

This is a nice small hotel not far from Geierley. We had a nice small room with balcony, clean and relatively modern with view over the fields around. This is a nice small hotel not far from Geierley. We had a nice small room with balcony, clean and relatively modern with view over the fields around. A little new for us was that in such a remote location there would be outdoor noise. During a windy night you can hear the hum of the windmills in the vicinity. The hotel has special offers including a 4 course menu which I can fully recommend. The really good kitchen is a.o. using meat of own production which is very high quality. The hotel offers sauna if you wish.
