“Lovely quiet hotel just outside Neustadt centre”

Situated in a quiet residential area on hillside above Neustadt, with lovely views over vineyards. Room was spotless, very spacious and comfortable. Excellent bathroom. Wifi and flatscreen tv. Wonderful breakfast buffet.

This hotel looks unspectacular from the pictures or from the outside, but it has to be one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in - the room was spotless - and the facilities in the room were very good, including a minibar and tea-making facilities. The receptionist spoke very good English and greeted us with a warm welcome. And the room, as well as being clean, was very nicely decorated with pictures and wall art. Very nice and a good size. And quiet, being out of town and away from main roads. Parking is on-site, not secured but the area is relatively remote, so it feels safe. When the sat-nav brought us through Neustadt centre, out the other side and off onto the road heading away, we did wonder how long it would take us to walk back into town - or if it would even be practical to walk! I like being able to 'dump' the car, so I'd chosen somewhere with on-site parking which had looked close enough to the centre of town, but thought I'd made a real mistake. In fact the road merely took us around the surrounding vineyards. It was the first question we asked the receptionist and we discovered there's a lovely wide path through the centre of the vineyards. A beautiful 20 minute stroll and we were in the middle of Neustadt, with its wonderful old buildings, nice shops and welcoming bars. Recommended as a place to visit. If we return to Neustadt sometime, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Hotel Tenner again. The breakfast (included in the room price) was also very good - we're not early morning meat-eating people (the typical German breakfast) but there was plenty of cereals, fruit, rolls, jam... and good coffee! Also, their garden patio area has wonderful views over the vineyards to the nearby hills - we made use of it on our second morning as we finished our breakfast tea and coffee in the sun and could have stayed there for hours. Lovely surroundings, very clean and comfortable place to stay. And to top it all, I offered to pay for the Cola I'd had from the minibar and they said don't worry, it's free. That doesn't often happen - and no, I hadn't told them I was going to write a review on here!

The hotel and the rooms are well presented, rooms have a fridge with a section of water, coke and beer which is very well priced. Coffee which is replaced daily free of charge. Our room didn't have air con but did have a fan which worked well. The breakfast was excellent and you have the option to … lisää

The hotel and the rooms are well presented, rooms have a fridge with a section of water, coke and beer which is very well priced. Coffee which is replaced daily free of charge. Our room didn't have air con but did have a fan which worked well. The breakfast was excellent and you have the option to take this in the breakfast room or outside on the terrace. There are no evening meals at the hotel although there is an excellent restaurant a 10 min walk away and the town centre is a 30 min walk. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.

“great old place”

As a stop over this place is clean and quiet and the rooms are basic but for a 3 star it would be one of the bests we have used....Make sure you look out back at the great views and the breakfast is really fit for a king
