After a previous night at a large posh hotel we did not know what to expect form the Alpenblick. This hotel is every bit as good as a 5* the rooms are large clean and warm. But it is the service from the staff that make this hotel. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble even with a large group turning up at the same time. Can not rate this hotel highly enough.

“Very nice hotel”

The hotel is situated very quiet. But you can get to all nice places in less then 30 minutes. The people working there are very nice and friendly. The breakfast was super. Really recommended. If you are there go see the Simssee and Chiemsee. Both very beautiful.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive from beautiful lake Chiemsee, with alpine vistas from most rooms. The rooms are large, rustically but beautifully furnished, with large and excellent bathrooms. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from beautiful lake Chiemsee, with alpine vistas from most rooms. The rooms are large, rustically but beautifully furnished, with large and excellent bathrooms. The breakfast great-- was among the best we had ever found in Europe, and the free Internet was relatively fast (enough for streaming video). The one fly in the ointment is that the rooms have no air conditioning, and if you open the window the noise and light from the road can be rather disturbing. Ask for a room that does not face the road.

Located outside of town directly at a rural road with moderate traffic. Rooms and hallway are filled with lots of decoration which do not account for style. Located outside of town directly at a rural road with moderate traffic. Rooms and hallway are filled with lots of decoration which do not account for style. Employees are extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are very small especially the bathroom. Our room was located to the street side and the traffic was disturbing especially in summer when you need to keep the windows open to cool down the room at night. Floor of the room was not cleaned when we checked in. Hope this was just a one time mistake. Good wifi connection, parking directly at the hotel available. Breakfast was good especially the scrambled eggs. Fruit salad was cut on an onion cutting board and was uneatable. Vale for money was not that good. For this remote location I would have expected a lower price. For this price I would choose the more prestigious towns around the Chiemsee.
