“Brilliant little hotel, ideal for bikers and hikers alike”

Stayed at this hotel as part of a seminar in Nordhausen. Fantastic quaint location in the southern Harz area, ideal if you are intrested in the Harzer Wandernadel or for that matter a biker, Kyfhauser is 10km away. Anyway back to the hotel, super staff, spacious / tidy rooms, top food and parking… lisää

Stayed at this hotel as part of a seminar in Nordhausen. Anyway back to the hotel, super staff, spacious / tidy rooms, top food and parking is directly outside. Located very near the A38 Autobahn but far enough not to hear it! Enjoy your stay, we did.

“Cozy hotel with good food!”

A small hotel in the middle of nowhere. When I booked this I didn't know what to expect but as it turns out it is quite the good hotel! A small hotel in the middle of nowhere. When I booked this I didn't know what to expect but as it turns out it is quite the good hotel! Being in the middle of nowhere it offers a restaurant with really good food and beer and football is also being shown in the reception area! The rooms are old-style and the only downside to the hotel according to my personal preferences. If you have a room in the 100s be prepared that there is a static noise throughout the day and night which I think comes from the kitchen below. I didn't mind it all though. Service was superb and it felt like you are back in a different time with staff being super friendly and even remembering what I'd order to drink on the third night! Would definitely recommend to anybody staying outside of Leipzig in the Sudharz.

“Very nice stay”

You would not expect to find a mid size hotel in a tiny village, but this was a nice surprise. Although you would not describe the rooms as modern or recently renovated, they were clean, large with good internet, mini bars and new TV's. You would not expect to find a mid size hotel in a tiny village, but this was a nice surprise. Although you would not describe the rooms as modern or recently renovated, they were clean, large with good internet, mini bars and new TV's. The restaurant is in another building and is a beautiful old traditional house, tastefully renovated into a characterful restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff could not have been more friendly.

A.L. Harzhotel is another hotel that I have visited recently during my trip across Germany. I have stayed there only for one night, but I would definitely consider visiting it again. A.L. Harzhotel is another hotel that I have visited recently during my trip across Germany. I have stayed there only for one night, but I would definitely consider visiting it again. Location – Definitely a plus! This hotel is based very close to the motorway (5-10minutes driving), in the centre of a lovely quiet and peaceful village. Has visitors parking spaces and a tiny garden. Definitely it is a plus if you a looking for an affordable place to stay on your way, across Germany. Rooms – Another plus – our room was clean and tidy, great wi-fi connection (password inside room, so you don’t have to go to the reception etc), spotless shower room. Very comfortable bed with nice pillows :) – I know this sounds silly but in all the hotels that we have visited so far pillows were extremely flat and uncomfortable; thankfully this time it was different. I could also smell a bit of smoke, but we opened a window and it was gone. Food – We had our breakfast included – very tasty, standard buffet with a wide range of bread/pastries, cheese, meat, cereal etc. Lovely lady serving hot food, but she didn’t speak English. Reception is not really open 24h/day; we arrived late (midnight) due to the traffic and the Reception was closed. Thankfully someone left us a letter (in German) with an information where our room key is hidden.. Better than nothing I guess :)? plus thankfully I speak a bit of German, so I managed to find it. However I would advise to have a sample letter prepared also in English language as not everyone speak German.. Overall – nice, affordable hotel. I might come back again, however because most of the time I travel with my two dogs (and there is not much area to take them for a walk around the hotel), I might look for a better option.

“Very nice rustic hotel”

I stayed at the Funf Linden during a business trip to Germany. I traveled with a team of colleagues and we stayed there during the full week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed at the Funf Linden during a business trip to Germany. I traveled with a team of colleagues and we stayed there during the full week. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the strongest points was the fact that we had no trouble in communication opposite to all the other places we visited during our stay in Wickerode and Ebeleben. The place is very quiet and also have a very nice restaurant. Good for business trips.
