A very large hotel, used by many coach groups, but which accommodates everyone easily. Rooms good and very clean, with kettle and two bottles of mineral water at no charge. A very large hotel, used by many coach groups, but which accommodates everyone easily. Rooms good and very clean, with kettle and two bottles of mineral water at no charge. Room service needs to be requested, though room was refreshed after 3 nights without asking. New tea and coffee supplies available at €5, but there is an Edeka 300m metres away for replenishing stock. No air conditioning, but very heavy duty curtains keep out sun. Road facing bedrooms can be noisy if windows left open at night. Although part of a small tour group, we were placed in the Teneo restaurant area, which is quieter. Breakfast is excellent, a buffet with a huge choice, as is the dinner - also a buffet, but replenished regularly and good quality - soup, lots of salads, 4 or 5 main courses including fish and vegetarian, plus desserts and a good cheese selection. All staff very good, especially the man behind the bar in the Teneo restaurant. Good choice of wines by the glass and local beer (Hasseröder).

Good large restaurant with buffet and well stocked but uninteresting breakfast

“NOT the best”

We stayed 5 nights on a holiday arranged by Great Rail Journeys from the UK. ( 29 of us) We were very disappointed by the evening meals in particular which were no way of 4 star standard! The desserts in particular were very poor. ( all sloppy, custardy creations!) Our rooms were good EXCEPT twice… lisää

We stayed 5 nights on a holiday arranged by Great Rail Journeys from the UK. ( 29 of us) We were very disappointed by the evening meals in particular which were no way of 4 star standard! The desserts in particular were very poor. ( all sloppy, custardy creations!) Our rooms were good EXCEPT twice they were NOT cleaned. We are wondering if the hotel is suffering from a staffing crisis.
