I had the best experience staying at Ranga Holiday Resort. The hotel is wonderfully tranquil and quiet; the only sounds are the birds, splash of water in the river or the sussuration of the leaves on the trees. Easy and fast to get here from the airport or the train station in Colombo. The garden is really nice and there are 2 outdoor swimming pools to enjoy and relax. Rooms are generously proportioned and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable in the apartment: full kitchen with fridge, toaster, kettle, tea pot, utensils, etc etc.. iron/ironing board, washing machine, ceiling fan and air conditioning. My room also had a lovely bathroom and the patio with amazing view. Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!!!!! There is even a gym to workout and I have private access to it from my terrace. The food is marvellous, top restaurant quality and very authentic Sri Lankan - both healthy and really delicious! The staff were so welcoming from the start, when I arrived a little late and worn out after a long train ride from Ella, and I felt very pampered throughout our stay. Ranga Holiday Inn obviously recruits its people from heaven. They would do anything to make your stay as comfortable or relaxed as possible. Everyone who works here is friendly, professional, helpful and hard working member of the great team, especially the manager, Samantha with his exceptional focus on customer service and ensuring my stay is going well (thank you thank you thank you)!! My whole stay here was one of luxury and great comfort with the attention to every detail. Ranga Holiday Inn provides a level of comfort, quality and culture on the highest level - the best opportunity to experience Sri Lanka in style! I really recommend this hotel for a top quality retreat!!

“Perfect for a peaceful Break ”

The hotel is situated in the banks of a river estuary, but is only a 5 minute boat ride to the beach. The hotel garden is very peaceful and there are 2 swimming pools to choose from. The rooms are clean and well laid out they also have suites,we were given a tour of the suite's and they are superb.… lisää

The hotel is situated in the banks of a river estuary, but is only a 5 minute boat ride to the beach. The hotel garden is very peaceful and there are 2 swimming pools to choose from. The rooms are clean and well laid out they also have suites,we were given a tour of the suite's and they are superb. The food in the restaurant was first class and if you are feeling just a little hungry try sharing a seafood platter absolutely superb. Samantha the manager works tirelessly to make your stay perfect, the complimentary coffee and cake mid afternoon was a lovely touch. Samantha if you read this did I leave my hat on the chair outside my room ? We are already planning to go back next year to this gem of a hotel, can't wait.

“Wakeboarding”

Actually this was my second time at Ranga Holiday Resort practicing wakeboarding and it has been a great experience. Crew was really friendly and helped me to learn fast and guided me through step by step. Also we tried a water sled and that was fun too. I would recommend this place for a beginner … lisää

Actually this was my second time at Ranga Holiday Resort practicing wakeboarding and it has been a great experience. Crew was really friendly and helped me to learn fast and guided me through step by step. Also we tried a water sled and that was fun too. I would recommend this place for a beginner who wants to learn wakeboarding because it is really safe and crew would guide anyone throught to learn safe and fast.

the price is good the cleanliness is amazing but when some small bad things gather the rating of the hotel will be lower than the supposed rating. For example the lighting around the 2 bedroom apartment i took is too dim, the kitchen is full of large sized fire ants roaming on the kitchenware(when i needed one i just needed to wash it), and the apartment was full of mosquitoes
