Lovely views from terrace over the lake. Fantastic service. We felt very much at home. Of course, some very delicious food. Cordon blue with apricot in the middle was delicious. Excellent hotel, good breakfast. excellent location, very attentive and helpful staff and owners The owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, from the area many cities and attractions are reached very easily Parking validated by hotel and as close as the hotel by just an elevator

“Impressed with the Lodgings”

The Hotel Schlossberg was our holiday home for two nights in mid-June. This was our first visit to Thun and we were impressed with the lodgings and the city. The Hotel Schlossberg was our holiday home for two nights in mid-June. This was our first visit to Thun and we were impressed with the lodgings and the city. The hotel provided a free taxi pickup at the main train station directly to the entry to the castle. Staff members were very friendly and courteous at reception. Our room was modern, clean and bright. We had a view of the castle courtyard from our "bump-out" window. Breakfast was typically Swiss, and eggs could be cooked to order. The coffee was delicious. We also ate dinner in the main dining room our first night. The meal was very good as was the service. Security was quite good. Your key permitted entry into the hotel wing and then was needed again to access the corridor. We toured the castle on our second day. Since we had Swiss Rail Passes, entry was free of charge. When we departed, the hotel provided a taxi back to the train station. All-in-all, a very nice stay in Thun. PS. Take the elevator that is located near the castle entry path down 7 stories and then access a brightly lit tunnel that takes you on a 5 minute walk to the old town.

“Amazing views but probably wouldn’t stay again”

Pros: Stayed in the Panorama room and the views were spectacular Was a very large room with a beautiful design and had a safe and mini fridge Plenty of storage in the closets Breakfast was good, had strong coffee and choice of eggs and meat plate along with bread and jam, yogurt, and fruit. Easy to access the hotel, even though it’s on the top of the hill, since there is parking structure with an elevator and tunnel that connects to the town Cons: Set AC to lowest setting and was still too warm in the room to sleep with the down comforter that is on the bed. There is no top sheet. Only 1 pillow per person on the bed and it was very flat and not comfortable Mattress was too firm for our liking WiFi worked well at times and not so good at other times. It seemed to work well in the morning and then in the evening it was slow. There was not very good lighting in the bathroom
