We discovered this small, family-run hotel by accident and stayed here for two nights while enjoying the Lake Thun area. We had a small double room, not suitable for work but perfect for an outdoor tourist weekend and with a very comfortable bed. The rooms have recently been renovated and the bathroom was gorgeous and very clean with a large walk-in shower. The hotel restaurant was a highlight, highly recommended even without a hotel stay: beautiful large garden and a small but high quality daily 3 or 4 course Italian-inspired style menu. The young, relatively new owners and their staff were very friendly and helpful. Also: free parking and easy access to Thun via bus or a beautiful, 20 minute lakeside walk.

What a nice place near Thun! We've been in this cosy hotel during the Pentecost long weekend. What a nice place near Thun! We've been in this cosy hotel during the Pentecost long weekend. The rooms are spacious, super clear, minimal in design, but with all what you need and recently renovated. I loved the style and the research in the objects and furnishings. Good breakfast included in the rate. The hotel is not in Thun, but you can have a pleasant 20 min panoramic walk close to the lake to reach the city. The staff was friendly. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

“Very clean and welcoming”

Stayed here for four nights and found this to be an excellent choice - we know the area well as we have family living in Thun and this is a good base to enjoy the town and overall area. Stayed here for four nights and found this to be an excellent choice - we know the area well as we have family living in Thun and this is a good base to enjoy the town and overall area. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms are spacious and modern - no tea or coffee making in the room but there is a good coffee machine on the first floor landing with a fridge with canned drink and bottled water you can help yourself to as well as a fruit basket - a lovely touch. Breakfast was very good with a selection of fresh breads, cheeses and cold meats as well as fresh fruit, cereals etc and the waitress makes fresh boiled eggs on request. The hotel has a spacious free car park which is a plus as parking in Thun can be expensive. Very friendly owners that provide a welcome pack with a discount card that includes free bus travel locally so you can park the car up in the hotel and go into town for the evening. Would suggest a room at the rear in summer, you wont get the lake view but it could have some traffic noise if you left your windows open. Three small supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk and the lake is only a few minutes away on foot and there is a pick up point for the boat service around Thun lake.

“Great choice, both the hotel and the restaurant and excellent value for money”

We stayed here for close to a week and had a perfect time. The room was very nice, as was the bathroom and the free coffee, water and soft drinks are a real bonus. We stayed on the top floor and it maybe gets a little warm during summer since there is no airco but that's the only thing we can think… lisää

We stayed here for close to a week and had a perfect time. The room was very nice, as was the bathroom and the free coffee, water and soft drinks are a real bonus. We stayed on the top floor and it maybe gets a little warm during summer since there is no airco but that's the only thing we can think of which might need attention. We also tried the restaurant the first evening and we decided to eat here the rest of the week. We've never done that before, but the great quality of the food and delicious Italian wines are too good to be missed and at very compatative prices! Last but by far not least is the wonderfull staff, everybody makes you feel welcome.
