“Modern meets 19th century elegance in a romantic setting on the river Areuse”
Freshly renovated hotel rooms and an excellent cuisine make this a perfect place to stay while exploring the Creux du Van and Gorges de l'Areuse area. Generous breakfast and friendly staff round off the experience.

“Very nice hotel if you can find it...”
Very nice but remote and hard to find hotel. Try the trout...:o) Nice hiking routes in the area, and perfect for river fishing... Only stayed one night on route to France................... Why do I need to write this much? ...........................

“Stunning location, delicious food”
We cycled up the breathtaking Gorges d'Areuse and stopped at the Hotel de la Truite for lunch. Luckily we arrived early and got a table outside in the gorgeous spring sunshine. “Small remote valley”
Located in a small remote valley, the place has max. 5 houses and is located at a river. It is very quiet while there is no passing traffic. One hundred meters higher , there is a railway.
