I stayed here for just 1 night and what a pleasure it was. I'd travelled from Zurich Aiport and I was on my way to Vaduz - Liechtenstein to watch football. I walked from the train station in Walenstadt to the hotel. I was greeted in a friendly manner. My single room was on the small side but it was more than adequate for my requirements. The breakfast choice was excellent. The view from my bedroom window across the lake was sublime. I really enjoyed my stay and I was really happy with their Covid protocols. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It's in such a lovely setting and was value value money.

“Long weekend with the Dogs”

We visited this place with the Cão de Àgua Português Club (Switzerland). 15 peoples and 15 dogs! All worked fine. The rooms are clean and nice, the dinners excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Little bit old fashioned, but clean and everything working as it should be. breakfast buffet, ok. cooked eggs from fridge, no choice for scrambled or other, but for the rest enough choices in buffet. Very nice area, little bit out of centre village (10 minutes walk). Close to lake and Mountain View is astonishing. Staff was very friendly.

“Very nice hotel ”

The hotel was recommended as it is situated close to our meeting place. Even though it is quite simple I was impressed of the hotel its staff and not at least its surroundings. Breakfast was fair but would have wanted some more variety. Will stay here on my next visit to Walenstadt.

honestly - we expected to find an old atmosphere hotel, given it a small one, in a small town, on the shores of a lake that does not seems to be a major Swiss tourism area (at least for people out of Switzerland). but the hotel surprised us for the better... rooms are modern, very clean, with TV, very good free Wi-Fi coverage, in room safe, great shower, very well lighted. excellent location right on the lake, and also for driving to other places around the lake. free parking right near the hotel. if the weather is good (and we unfortunately only had one such day out of 3...) - then its amazing - walking around the lake, endless trails on the mountains right off the hotel, a very nice park with kids playing zone... friendly staff that helped us find our way around, recommended things to do around. we had breakfast included - variety of cheese, sausages, jams, fruit juices, coffee - very nice. we did not eat there are lunch or dinner.
