Stayed for two nights in June 2014 and it definitely was a great stay. The B&B looks like something out of a fairy tale. Each room is based on a theme and is painted in the most soothing pastel shades. There are tiny little hand crafted pieces all over the property, giving it a cosy feel. The Rooms are decently sized with comfortable beds. The toiletries used in the washroom are of a great quality. The owner and his help believe in service with the a smile. I have never before had such a beautiful looking pre platted breakfast. The minute they got to know that I am a vegetarian, they adjusted the menu according to me. The third day we were leaving very early in the morning so the cook simply pack the breakfast for us and kept it ready by the time we checked out. Overall a wonderful stay and I am definitely going back there again in June 2015. But just a warning - some of the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor and the property does not have a lift. You will have to carry your own luggage up the stairs, so carry the lightest possible bags.

“Most go back”

Lovely couple who Mr and Mrs Huang who run the B&B, wonderful cozy rooms, everything is so thoughtfully taken care of. A place highly recommended and will go back sometime again. We spent Christmas there, would be even nicer if there were one or two restaurants near by.

“Pretty place, nice people, convenient location”

We stayed here two nights in May 2014 while touring the island of Taiwan. The proprietors were wonderful. When they learned that we had hired a taxi to take us to tour the beautiful Taroko Gorge early the next day, they offered to pack our first breakfast for a morning picnic along the way. :-) O… lisää

When they learned that we had hired a taxi to take us to tour the beautiful Taroko Gorge early the next day, they offered to pack our first breakfast for a morning picnic along the way. :-) Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, providing restful sleep. We found good food and drinks in restaurants nearby. The location made it easy to walk to the main shopping area of town where I found souvenirs for myself and gifts for friends and family back home. I would be delighted if I ever have the opportunity to stay at this place again!

“Portal to Wonderland”

The moment I step into this place, it's like I'm teleported to a different world. From the bustling streets of Hualien, to a cozy, warm and relaxing european style cottage. The moment I step into this place, it's like I'm teleported to a different world. From the bustling streets of Hualien, to a cozy, warm and relaxing european style cottage. The interior of this min shu is just lovely. Makes you feel right at home. The owner, Mr. Huang is really nice and helpful. Before coming to taiwan, he helped us to book a driver for our tour around Hualien. He pays very much attention to detail, fulfilling each of our requests and wants and needs. During our stay, he also recommend us famous eateries and attraction around Hualien city. He asks for our personal itinerary to ensure that we don't miss out on anything. We were suppose to travel to Yilan after 2 days in Hualien and have not yet secure any transportation, so Mr. Huang offered to help us buy our train ticket. How nice of him. After checking in, Mr. Huang gave us a quick tour of the min shu and brought us to our room. My family booked a room for 3. Once again, the lovely interior and spacious room makes you feel right at home. There are two large queen size bed in the room. The beds are very comfortable and after an entire day of walking, I definitely got a good night sleep. The room is very very clean and very well maintained.Other facilities included are wifi, air conditioner, LCD Tv, fridge, towels, toiletries, heated shower, hair dryer and a ceiling heater (not sure what's it called) in the toilet where you can dry your clothes or warm up the toilet. Breakfast was included during our stay. Mr. Huang would ask what time we would like to have breakfast the night before and also ask whether there are any restrictions/allergies on the type of food we consume. Breakfast was served generously with juice and coffee/tea. As we stayed there for 2 nights, we had 2 different meal variations and both were equally delicious. Fazhana min shu is stratrgically located, where a 10 minutes walk would bring you to the busiest part of the city, which is chong hua road, chong shan road and chong zhen road. To sum it up, I would say that this is hospitality at its best. Every aspect of this min shu is perfect. Definately recommended for anyone finding a place to stay in Hualien.
