We booked 2 nights for 15 people (7 rooms), including breakfast and diner plus SPA. Stay was very pleasant, and I enjoyed very much the music concerts - high quality and varied. Buffet was ok but food could be better quality, that's why I did not pick up excellent. The resort area is colorfull and a good starting point to admire the beautiful taiwanese mountains.

Enjoy the tranquility in the remote mountainous national park. The resort is considered nicely maintained though bit old style but is still the best in the area. Enjoy the tranquility in the remote mountainous national park. The resort is considered nicely maintained though bit old style but is still the best in the area. Some refurbishment should be done since the design was not changed since our last visit more than 13 years ago! The TV was lack of choices, but we’re here for retreat not TV! The breakfast is considered good, but don’t expect too much as it’s situated deep in the mountain. Do not miss the north valley bus tour at relatively affordable price. The ride cost NTD 150 per adult.

“Dated hotel in a good location”

This hotel was included as part of a 2 night bus tour round trip from Taipei stopping at Wuling and Chilan that was booked by a family member residing in Taiwan. The hotel looked OK from the outside. This hotel was included as part of a 2 night bus tour round trip from Taipei stopping at Wuling and Chilan that was booked by a family member residing in Taiwan. The hotel looked OK from the outside. But the place was showing its age on the inside with dated furnishings. We had no real issues. They did want groups to keep their luggage out in the open lobby (felt like it was relatively unprotected/unwatched) before checking in or after checking out, which was necessary because of checkin/checkout times and the groups arrival and departure times, as well as being out on tours (even though they had a room for bags if you were travelling independently). They did have a concert in the evening (which was not just traditional Chinese music, but included some more modern international music which we appreciated), followed by star gazing the night we were there. The talk to learn how to use the stargazing tool was completely in Mandarin. The lunch, dinner, and breakfast buffets (included for the tour we took) had many, many choices (including an entire area of vegetarian). Many hot and cold items. For dinner, this included make your own noodle soup and ice cream. Hotel had signs out about being careful during mating season with the wild monkeys, but we didn’t see any during our stay.

It's the only "hotel" around the area. The other ones are a bit hostel type. You need to prepare yourself that it's not well quipped hotel and food is not your priority but the wonderful views. “A bit dated, all Chinese hotel”

It is the best hotel in the area. The hotel is a bit dated. Our room was decent and spacious. Unlike all other Taiwanese hotels, this hotel doesn't have the usual amenities like comb, razor etc. Both diner and breakfast is buffet-style and mainly geared towards Chinese food. It is the best hotel in the area. The hotel is a bit dated. Our room was decent and spacious. Unlike all other Taiwanese hotels, this hotel doesn't have the usual amenities like comb, razor etc. Both diner and breakfast is buffet-style and mainly geared towards Chinese food. The hotel equipped is mainly for Chinese visitors. Little English is spoken. Despite the language barrier the staff is very friendly and trying to help out. The price / value is excellent. We would qualify it as a three star hotel. The hotel is located in the Wuling National Forest. It is remote from other cities/villages. Close to the hotel there is a small supermarket, museum and the visitor center. It is an excellent hiking area with 4 mountains of over 3.000 meters high.
