I really like this hotel. It has beautiful decorations and environment, a spacious and comfortable lobby, and well trained staff. It only takes 5 minutes walk to the Yilan children’s folklore & folkgame festival. I have never seen a hotel lobby provides so many sofas for guests, best of all, you can get free coffee and cookies anytime and night snacks (tea boiled eggs, tofu, bread, etc.) in the night from lobby. Nice layout of the room, I like the long daybed by the big window. Although the tub provides hot spring, the size is too small to enjoy. It is a pity that they do not take advantage of their space to build a swimming pool (a small artificial fountain area for kids though), but the spa room with changing area is quite good. Considering the room price, it is really a very good value hotel.

“Wonderful”

Check in here on our 1st night in Taiwan. A hotspring hotel. Greeted by friendly & helpful staffs. Spacious and clean room. Bathroom & shower are clean too. Shower come with a bathtub. Wonderful breakfast with variety choices.

The price is reasonable. 整體而言這家飯店各方面都不錯，但是我們幾個都覺得早餐可以再升級，房間夠大，裝潢風格不錯，地點到宜蘭各處都方便，飯店是舒服的，服務也夠好，價格也合理。

Day 10 of our Island tour. Googled Yilan and saw this hotel with the brand name of Shangrila. The rates for winter season seems a bit on the low side. Day 10 of our Island tour. Googled Yilan and saw this hotel with the brand name of Shangrila. The rates for winter season seems a bit on the low side. Banging on the brand name and the pictures of classical victorian styled furnishing, i booked a family room. Upon check in, everything went smoothly and the receptionists are professional and warm. Got to our room. The room is dimly lit. Furnishimg are mostly wood themed. There lies the issue. Winter season with lots of condensation results in water pooling at the window bay view. The area is wooden in nature and you will see soaked wood and damp wood. Pevious stains of soaked wood is evident. Quality of care is missing and is a bit underwhelming. Breakfast is local cuisine. The dining area looks very lavish but the spread of food is ok. Decent but don't expect shangrila standards. The shower area, shower head is faulty amd we had to resort to shower from the tap by squatting. Dissapointing. For a hotel tht uses the brand name of Shangrila, i expect more. The quality of care to the hardwares of the hotel cld be better. The saving point of the stay are the staffs. They are very helpful and endeavour to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The condensation soakes my kids wintwr jackets and they doubled up to dry it in quick time over breakfast. In short, the stay left me wanting more but the hotel cannot deliver enough. Perhaps is the price to product tussle. Too expensive and people will shun it. Too affordable and quality is compromised. Point of clarification, they are not affiliated to the international brand Shangrila.
