Good location because there is a night market just below. Most of the places within Taichung I had went was via the free public buses, all of which had been 5-10 min walk from the hotel so its convenient on that aspect. Good location because there is a night market just below. Most of the places within Taichung I had went was via the free public buses, all of which had been 5-10 min walk from the hotel so its convenient on that aspect. Convenience store, pharmacy are also within walking distance. Breakfastt was a macdonald muffin + coffee/tea, wouldnt pay for that if it isnt included. Spacious and clean. Recommend to stay. Climb a small flight of stairs to reach the lift, so its not wheelchair friendly.

“Taiwanese street food in front of the hotel”

We 'd reserved this hotel because discount promotion but we found this clean hotel is in a good location for food and transit. Zhongxiao night market, where you can find Taiwanese street food is right in front of the hotel. (Pic.) I like this hotel' s leaflet with my native language. :)

“Pretty average stay”

Rooms are apparently sound proofed but I heard the conversations, plumbing, hair dryer etc. of the opposite room. So whatever was in place wasn't very effective. DO NOT pre-book breakfast here. I did not realizing that what was on offer is a MacDonald's muffin. I was charged SG$10 a day for this and was refused the option of cancellation upon check-in. If you do want to order this rather average meal option, then it can be done at the hotel for NT$60 (I think). Another point is that it gets delivered at 0730. So if you pick it up terrible start to the day any later, then everything is cold, including the coffee and there's no option of reheating it. Pretty rubbish all around. Only two coat hangers provided on a hook on the wall, nowhere else to put anything apart from in a pile on the suitcase ledge bit (lacking the proper word for it, sorry). I was totally overcharged too. I paid NT$1400 a night, which is far more than the hotel is worth. I could have gotten it for NT$800 as a walk in or booking each night separately. Bathrooms was very small with in adequate ventilation which resulted in mold on the roof. Not really a problem for me but something for the hotel to look into. Room was very clean. Bed comfy although the sheets felt pretty cheap. Good location for buses, trains, street food etc. Staff were friendly, but unable to accommodate my requests.
