Pros: Friendly staff, big and clean room. walking distance to Feng Chia Night Market. Near to eateries, 7-11, Watson Cons: bathroom will be so wet after shower as there is no divider/door to separate the shower and toilet. TV is hang up too high not eye level. TIPS: If you plan to use Xitun Area as a base, this is a great hotel. But if you plan to use Taichung as a base and travel to outskirt via the rail or HSR; this hotel is not near to railway station nor HSR station. via taxi to the stations is about 20-30mins. From Taoyuan airport, you can take the Ubus to the HSR station, free shuttle bus service to Feng Chia University and 5-10 mins to hotel. I took a taxi less than US$10. You should have name and address in Chinese which will be handy for the driver as not all drivers understand English

The staff is friendly and the bedroom is comfortable although the only flat surface for opening my suitcase in the room was in the closet. The breakfast is geared to the Chinese, but there is a sufficient variety of food to suit traditional Western tastes, although I was disappointed that the only cereal available was chocolate chex, obviously there for children. The fruit, particularly the pineapple was delicious. It's a bit hard to find this hotel since taxi drivers only know it by its Chinese name which is completely different -"Wen2 Hua4 Dao4 Hui4 Guan3" and once you get there, you need to find the elevator in a nook about 5meters/yards into the center alley and go up to the 3rd floor lobby.

It's a rather dark hotel and our room wasn't one of the nicely decorated ones that are pictured on trip advisor. It's a rather dark hotel and our room wasn't one of the nicely decorated ones that are pictured on trip advisor. The halls and lobby look very modern, but our room was just brown and had a 70s vibe with carpet and an old couch. As others have said, the shower gets water all over the small bathroom. We didn't pay for breakfast, so I can't give an opinion on that but the snacks at night were good. The proximity to the night market is the positive of this hotel. The people at the front desk were rather helpful and nice too.

On the plus side, the hotel is right in the middle of a bustling night market and your room comes with a fridge--so go outside and buy some of Taiwan's legendary fruit (you might have to walk a few blocks), and keep it in your refrigerator. On the plus side, the hotel is right in the middle of a bustling night market and your room comes with a fridge--so go outside and buy some of Taiwan's legendary fruit (you might have to walk a few blocks), and keep it in your refrigerator. Otherwise, the room is just OK. Reasonably comfortable bed though. There's also a convenient basement garage, and guests park for free (just get your ticket validated at the front desk). The staff is helpful and courteous. Free wifi that was usually reliable. One time I got thrown offline. On the minus side, the bathroom is cramped and needs some rethinking. There's no shower curtain (not even a place where a shower curtain would go), so reliably after anyone takes a shower, the floor will be flooded. Great recipe for fungus--and slips and falls. (I actually twisted my ankle even though I was trying to be careful.) Breakfast is OK--mediocre, just like the hotel. Not by any means a disaster, but basically undistinguished.
