While the Hione hotel is starting to age and on the fringes the antiquity is rising like a soft patina, the overall condition of this hotel is very nice. While the Hione hotel is starting to age and on the fringes the antiquity is rising like a soft patina, the overall condition of this hotel is very nice. The staff is accommodating but a little standoffish. And the in-house restaurant is only ok (a little overpriced). But overall, it was a nice respite from the traveling road.

“Vintage hotel & far from downtown”

We stayed here as part of a group tour of Taipei for 3 nights the hotel is situated somewhat outskirts of downtown, it shows its age in many ways being a Holiday Inn before. Rooms are spacious, large but furnishings & bathroom counter & WC are old and there is a bathtub but no bidet of course! G… lisää

We stayed here as part of a group tour of Taipei for 3 nights the hotel is situated somewhat outskirts of downtown, it shows its age in many ways being a Holiday Inn before. Rooms are spacious, large but furnishings & bathroom counter & WC are old and there is a bathtub but no bidet of course! Good thing that we got a twin bed room facing the back which is a highway. Its generally quiet excrpt for noise from the nearby rooms can be heard. Soundproofing failure! Breakfast spread was the same food from day 1 to day 3 of our stay. Could use some improvement I guess. oh and there is a 7-11 store beside the hotel, a few eateries & small supermarket across the street. The neighborhood is quiet but very very local. Cannot say I would recommend but just to note the location is not what I would prefer, Its far from downtown.
