Beautiful, peaceful hotel, with excellent friendly, helpful staff and great facilities right on the beach. The Tamani Foundation supports the local community by schooling the village children and training the staff to a high standard. You can purchase items in the lobby to help the foundation continue their work. Sveta, the wonderful owner warned us the kitchen needed advance notice for meals but the evening meals we had were so worth the wait, delicious. If the lunch menu could offer more small bite/snack meals it would definitely be used more. Breakfast was a great and more than enough on offer. We took a very 5 am fishing trip and Sveta was happy arrange to leave the breakfast facility out for us until we returned after normal finishing time of 10 am. We hired the hotel’s bikes and rode to the next village along the beach Pwani Mchangani but feel maybe an investment into a bigger frame of bikes would have made the ride back along the beach into a strong headwind a bit easier for us, we walked them back for most of it! The beach was much cleaner than where we had just come from Nungwi and if all tourists and locals alike would take more care and collect up their plastic waste it has a chance to stay cleaner. The tidal changes of the sea was great and we were happy to walk out far from the beach at low tide to see the starfish and avoid the spiky sea urchins. We utilised the wonderful pool area when the heat of the day made the beach unbearable. We felt like being part of an exclusive club, with Polish, Estonian, French and Danish guests at the time we stayed, it was such a great, happy atmosphere. A perfect end to our trip to Zanzibar. Just wished we could have had more time to stay at this friendly, chilled very happy hotel.

“Eccellente!”

This hotel is simply wonderful ... the structure is new and extremely clean, all the staff are friendly and always available. The kitchen is excellent, the menu is good but if you have special requests the chef is always at your disposal. We did the excursions to Memba, Stone Town, Prison Island di… lisää

This hotel is simply wonderful ... the structure is new and extremely clean, all the staff are friendly and always available. The kitchen is excellent, the menu is good but if you have special requests the chef is always at your disposal. We did the excursions to Memba, Stone Town, Prison Island directly with them ... also snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. An incredible experience! The idea of contributing to the education of children with our stay is fantastic ... they really need it. You don't expect a resort with evening entertainment... this is not the place. It is an extremely quiet hotel in which to relax and enjoy the island. The atmosphere is incredible! The tide is spectacular in this part of the island. I thought it would be an obstacle to enjoy the sea but I was wrong….it was exciting to walk in the morning for miles on that stretch of fine white sand. The beach in front of the hotel is wonderful ... of course, there are beach boys like everywhere on the island but they are never pushy. In any case, just say no with kindness and they won't bother you anymore. A special thanks to Sveva who manages the hotel, always very sweet and willing to satisfy every request. She does all with love. Thanks also to the staff, they are fantastic people who transmit so much serenity to you. The only regret I have is not having taken a picture with all of them ... unfortunately we left at 3 am. Incredible experience, I would never have left ...

“Friendly Staff”

we went right amidst corona virus pandemic, we were the only people at the hotel. Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was basic, I presume one of the drawback of being the only one staying, how much can they keep for breakfast. Menu for lunch and dinner was interesting, you need to tell them… lisää

we went right amidst corona virus pandemic, we were the only people at the hotel. Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was basic, I presume one of the drawback of being the only one staying, how much can they keep for breakfast. Menu for lunch and dinner was interesting, you need to tell them atleast 2 hours before meal time, so they can prepare fresh for you The menu for Lunch and Dinner was same, but I could not understand the pricing as lunch was 10 dollars per person and dinner was 15 dollars per person Nice beach with white sands unfortunately we had to cut our holiday and stayed only one night as flights were being cancelled because of Corona Epidemic
