Aside for the contemporary design and facilities, safety and security are superb. This is not a hotel , this is a condominium - useful appliances and furniture's. Friendly hosts and staff. Walking distance from the market. The taxi booking lady is very helpful.

This is the hottest new condo that’s been built in Chiang Mai. They literally have the tagline, “Gem of the North”, which is pretty funny but makes sense given the lack of development of High rises in the area. They literally have the tagline, “Gem of the North”, which is pretty funny but makes sense given the lack of development of High rises in the area. The condo itself is beautiful with very tight security, so rest assured, your belongings and privacy are tightly guarded. The neighbors are very affluent and there are several European and American ex-pays who live here. There are floor to ceiling windows in each room. The service provided by the property manager was excellent and we will stay here again in the future.

“Modern but charmless”

After an arduous, long journey to Chiang Mai that included a night's sleep in an airport beause of a delayed flight, I consoled myself in the taxi to my final destination by imagining tossing the shoes off, flopping on the bed and the blissful comfort that would bring. After an arduous, long journey to Chiang Mai that included a night's sleep in an airport beause of a delayed flight, I consoled myself in the taxi to my final destination by imagining tossing the shoes off, flopping on the bed and the blissful comfort that would bring. Not to be- the bed was rock hard.. The sofa also, you could not relax and curl up on it. It also featured a broken leg, I think, and the frame of the wardrobe door fell off simply because I opened and closed it. I wasn't reprimanded or charged for that; the cleaning lady cum co-manager was very nice. You contact the two managers by email and they are very prompt to assist with any query. I chose the Anta ( the hostel part of Astra residence Hotel) because of the pool, which is a rooftop one and large and gorgeous. The nightly rate was very affordable and , I guess, explains why the tiny apartment was a bit sub-standard as self-catering accommodation. The kitchenette was bordering on inadequate. Very limited bench space, though a good working stove. No mixing bowls or utensils for cooking, hardly any crockery and cutlery. The fridge opened the wrong way - I had to move it out from the wall to use it and noticed that that floor area hadn't been cleaned in a while. I enjoyed swimming daily but could seldom get my swimming togs dry. There was no drying rack provided. No iron, no tea towels or wiping cloths , or paper towels. It was light enough , for an apartment. The bedroom curtains were especially thin and let all the light in. The balcony was tiny, but atleast there WAS a balcony (housing the huge airconditioner). I liked the location and the hotel is attractive and new, great lobby. My apartment had a good, modern bathroom. I just can't stay there again unless they can guarantee me a comfortable bed to sleep on!

“Nice place!”

For sure a very modern, new, fresh building with security. Me and my boyfriend got room with 2 bedrooms since both of us had to work and take meetings. The staff was very friendly and provided an extra desk and lamp. When we got to the apartment it was boiling hot!! thanks god for the well work… lisää

The staff was very friendly and provided an extra desk and lamp. When we got to the apartment it was boiling hot!! thanks god for the well working AC, after 30 min it was fine. The bedrooms don't have blackout curtains, so we had early mornings. The balcony was very very small and not cozy at all. It was great to have a kitchen with all the basic supplies. Ok location, close to the river, the night market , 7 eleven and a few restaurants. Walking distance to the old town.
