My partner and I are really pleased about this place. It is quiet, beautiful and rooms are spacious. The owner makes sure you have everything you need and he is open and friendly. It's a real pleasure to be here. You have a nice coffee/restaurant where you can buy delicious thai food (you also have a western menu too). You can rent bikes if you want to travel about. The place is close to a canyon where you can chill out. Well I will come back to Thailand and will definitely spend time here again. I feel like home.

“Fantastic place to stay”

I've stayed here twice while volunteering at the nearby Care For Dogs shelter. The location is great with some lovely restaurants (and the ever handy 7/11) nearby. I've stayed here twice while volunteering at the nearby Care For Dogs shelter. The location is great with some lovely restaurants (and the ever handy 7/11) nearby. The hotel restaurant is excellent and I ate most of my dinners there. The rooms are bright and airy and have everything that I needed. They were a pleasure to come back to after a busy day with the dogs. Biking around the area is a great way to explore with some great views. Highly recommend staying here.

I'm currently one month into a three month stay at this hotel and it really couldn't be much better. The owner and staff are very accommodating, the on site restaurant has authentic local cuisine as well as a selection of classic western dishes to suit all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan dishes, all very reasonably priced and served on time and with a smile. The room is a bungalow style layout with all mod-cons: fridge/freezer, air conditioning, hot shower, western style toilet, king size bed, kettle, toaster etc as well as fresh towels changed weekly or more if requested. The room is serviced every week and the balcony and surrounding outside areas are swept and kept clean on a daily basis by a fantastic team of dedicated groundsmen and women. It's located far enough away from the main road to feel the surrounding nature but is close enough to local shops and attractions to be conveniently placed. Again, the staff and owner are only too happy to help, with a good understanding of many languages and willing to teach the basics of Thai language for those who wish to learn. I was offered transport from the airport for free and have seen other customers taken back there at no cost, all from the kind heart of the owner. I have been volunteering at a local dog shelter (CfD) and decided to extend my stay by a month, I'm happy with the accommodation and high level of service so will continue my stay here until I head south in a couple of months. Not only do I recommend this place but I will be sure to stay here again should I ever be in Chiang Mai in the future. A great place to stay and made to feel very welcome at all times, the owner, his family and his staff make a great location even better by their attentive service with the classic Thai smile, always willing to help and serve regardless of whether you're a western traveller, a tourist or a local Thai looking for fine dining at a reasonable price.

“Ostrich with a forage cap!”

We just went for coffee and cakes and liked it. But the first thing we saw to welcome us was a large plaster ostrich wearing a forage cap (see photo). We just went for coffee and cakes and liked it. But the first thing we saw to welcome us was a large plaster ostrich wearing a forage cap (see photo). The service was good and informal and the cakes excellent. The menu is quite comprehensive with Thai and western food.The coffee room/restaurant overlooks an attractive small lake with well tended gardens behind. It is an excellent stopping off place for after lunch coffee as on a few hundred metres from the main Chiang Mai - Mai Hong Song road. There is free WiFi too. I'm sure we will be returning as a couple to try out the hotel.
