I was guiding a tour to the Phee Ta Khon Ghost Festival last weekend (July), great fun. We stayed at this resort, 10 min drive from Dansai. Of course the resort was full for 2 nights, day before and after almost empty. Rooms large, good. Mattress far too hard, the management should invest in soft tops on the stone-hard mattress. My room had a moldy smell the first day I came, most likely because the room has not been used/not opened window for long time. Recommendation: The room you plan to give to people please open the windows 24h before occupation in order to reduce the humidity in the room. And please add at least one English speaking news, sport or movie channel into the TV satellite programs, only Thai on TV. Rest all good. Thanks for friendly hospitality.

“A Rustic Hotel with Basics”

This was one of the few hotels we could find on our way during our motorcycle trip in Northeast Thailand for this part of the country. The rooms are still very rustic as is the hotel. The pool was under renovation but we were told of this in advance. It is a very large property with a beautiful Terrace and lots of natural foliage giving you the real feel of being in nature. The bed was hard but still comfortable. We found the room to be relatively clean and the bathroom is quite dated. We hung out on the Terrace in the afternoon having some appetizers and that led into dinner time. The food was tasty. The service was excellent but keep in mind that they were only five rooms occupied at the time in the hotel. To have both beers and wines available. We thought the pricing on the food was good value. If you're looking for a place to overnight we could recommend stopping here. On the other hand there are some Boutique options in this immediate area and with careful research you might find a newer property.

“Rustic Resort near Dan Sai”

It was located about 12 km from Dan Sai. We stayed there 2 nights while attending the annual Phi Ta Khon festival. It's a large resort with many beautiful gardens and the room was very rustic with teak paneling on the walls. We stayed on the third floor and had some gorgeous views of the forest.… lisää

It was located about 12 km from Dan Sai. We stayed there 2 nights while attending the annual Phi Ta Khon festival. It's a large resort with many beautiful gardens and the room was very rustic with teak paneling on the walls. We stayed on the third floor and had some gorgeous views of the forest. But unfortunately the resort is located very close to the main super highway and the traffic was terribly loud during our first night! There were thousands of motorcycles and it sounded like a race track. We had a sleepless night and were very exhausted the next day. The breakfast buffet was average food for a resort.
