The first night I stayed here , I booked a Double room and very cheap prices including Breakfast AU$38 per night . Despite booking in at the main Hotel desk, I was then taken back outside to the more shabby looking Motel 3 level block which is on the left as you come in to the complex. I had asked for a quiet room and respectively they put me on the 3rd level and closest to the pool area. Well the room was very dated , the safe would'nt open and a tap in the bathroom basin dribbled all night. The TV was a chunkie old one, but heh I was tired so thought I wouldn't make a fuss until the morning as it still was clean . The German guys living next door chatted all hours out on the balcony drinking their beers, but somehow I fell asleep , I think as I had been up traveling 16 hours by then. The next morning I went down to the front desk after having the Breakfast which was not buffet , but quite nice all the same. The girl at Reception was very understanding , and told me that to stay in the main Hotel are it would be an extra $4 per night , of course I accepted and what a difference. The room was spacious and clean , nice Air con , great WiFi , and quiet too. The room had a safe deposit box and the Porter showed me happily how it worked . My friends have a lovely typical Thai local small Restaurant literally 100 mtrs across the road outside the main entry, "Mama Lans Thai and European Food" . This small Restaurant has great food and a great bar as well , you can chose from Various Thai dishes , or have a European type Pork Chop with mash potatoes , . I have never had a bad meal there , and the hospitality is great. If you want a special seafood feast, you can ask Mama Lan to get it fresh from the Market the day of your choice, and she will BBQ out front for you. It's a must for me as the seafood is great in thailand, ask for the local LARGE Oysters , you have to cut them in half to eat them , and they generally eat them with some garnish and spice , yum. You just have to pay her a deposit to ensure you will be coming back that night of course which is understandable. The downtown Walking Street is only a cheap taxi ride from here, or on the 10 Bt jump on local Taxis you need to change twice . Big C is also not far by the Taxis , and all other local sites very close by. I stay in Nth Pattaya as quieter, and value for money as well , plus a good night at Lans Restaurant is a hoot with friends or others , plus there are other bars and more up market Restaurants 5 minutes up the road by the 10 bt open Taxis.Plenty of good Massage Houses close by as well. All in all , Siam Platinum Pattaya Hotel is excellent value for money , the pool is nicely situated and not crowded, plus has a bar beside and foods and Ice Creams if you want them . Thumbs up for me, but a warning to make sure you book a room in the Rear actual main Hotel area. I was glad i moved , as saw the same guys up there every day on the balcony outside my original rooms door with beers in hand etc One final thing , the Management should tell the Chinese Travelers to shut their doors with the handle so it is quiet, think of others as they just open their door walk in and all seem to slam them shut , nice enough people but just need to be told not to pull their doors shut, but use the handle as they opened it to close it the same as then others would be not so disturbed.

I stayed here as my usual Central Pattaya hotels were fully booked over NY. I suspect the reason this hotel had rooms available at short notice was because it is away from the centre. Set back from the main road the hotel is quiet, Baht buses run past the entrance all the time and take you down to Beach Road in several minutes. The room was big with a small table and 2 chairs with a balcony. Although not a new hotel everything was clean and worked well, although the TV picture wasn't of HD quality for those that would prefer something more modern. Pool looked clean and well maintained and there is also a underground car park. Didn't use the buffet breakfast included in the room as I prefer freshly cooked food from the restaurants halfway to the Dolphin roundabout. A 7-11 is directly opposite. Staff are very good. Wifi was also OK. I would return.

We have stayed in this hotel some years ago and found it very good price/quality. Whereas we previously stayed in the main building with nicely equipped standard hotel-rooms, we now stayed in the side (economy-)building : basic comfort rooms overlooking the parking. We did not take breakfast in the hotel. Rooms are indeed basic but clean. incl. cable TV - big cooler - airco. Wifi is free but is not always reliable (interference with closeby other Wifi-nets). The main hotel building almost daily caters for groups of Korean or Chinese tourists who rarely spend more than 1 night. They arrive late afternoon - occupy the room and leave 2/3 hrs later for entertainment in the city; They leave in the morning after breakfast. This means that the hotel swimming pool is basically all yours for the entire day... . Opposite the hotel (soi 14) you find a 7-11 and many small restaurants, incl. street food. Can also recommend IMF-thai food restaurant - turn right 50 m when you leave the hotel. All in all very good and quiet location and good value for money.

Siam Platinum Pattaya Hotel is situated opposite Soi 14 on the Pattaya-Naklua road midway between Pattaya and the village of Naklua. It is a short songthaew (shared taxi) ride from Central Pattaya or in the opposite direction the markets and beach of Naklua. There are several other hotels along this strip of road. Nearby the hotel were several restaurants including a BBQ outlet and the good value IMF Thai food restaurant. Within a short walking distance there were massage parlours and a few bars but the real entertainment area is a short drive away towards Pattaya. The hotel appears to cater mainly for tourist package groups from Korea, China and elsewhere in Asia. It also offers long stay accommodation for guests, several from Europe. The check in procedure at the hotel was efficient and relaxed. I was asked whether I wished to view the room allocated prior to completing the check in process. The receptionists were particularly welcoming and set a good tone for the stay. The room was quite large containing one double bed, a single bed a working desk, a small table with two chairs and more than ample cupboard space. The room opened up to a balcony with views over Naklua towards the port of Laem Chabang. A personal safe was located in a cupboard. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided each day and a large fridge was provided to enable guests to store their own perishables. There was a flat screen TV with an extensive list of TV channels covering a wide range of languages including Thai, English, Russian, French and other Asian languages. The in room air conditioning system was particularly efficient and without sound. The bathroom was clean and contained a shower over a bathtub. Interestingly there was a window between the bathroom and the bedroom. Cakes of soap and small bottles of hair shampoo were provided. The towels were clean, adequate in number but had seen better days. Breakfast was included in the room rate and could be taken in the quite austere dining room or on the tables around the swimming pool. The variety of food available from the buffet breakfast was quite extensive but as you would expect reflected the tastes of the Asian tour groups but no one need leave hungry whatever their tastes. An open air swimming pool and spa were accessible from the lounge with an adequate supply of tables and chair and loungers provided around the pool. The staff in all departments was friendly and helpful. The Siam Platinum Pattaya hotel offers relaxed and clean accommodation at a reasonable price in convivial surroundings.
