This hotel is not located near to Mekong river, in fact it is located near to Thai-Laos friendship bridge but still a distance away, you need to drive or take a tuk tuk in order to reach this hotel. The hotel is value for money, we have booked a 2 double bed room, the hotel is clean, with free wifi, hot shower etc. Staff is able to communicate in basic English, air con is cold, though this is a budget hotel, there is a outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast is not fantastic but I cannot comment much as the price is cheap for a 4 person stay. At least there is still my favourite fried egg, sausages and orange juice. Highly recommended for a stay in this hotel, the only down-point you will need tuk tuk to travel around, which I think the hotel staff can help you to arrange for a pick-up.

“Too far from everything...”

This well appointed hotel was a nice facility, pleasant to look at, with all the necessary amenities. It was clean and had A/C, fridge, pool, bikes for rent, so no problems with amenities. This well appointed hotel was a nice facility, pleasant to look at, with all the necessary amenities. It was clean and had A/C, fridge, pool, bikes for rent, so no problems with amenities. The management did little, however, the hardworking clerks and cleaning staff were eager to please. No one spoke English so even their efforts to help were negated. The restaurant was very good with excellent food, the pool nice but too cold to really enjoy. The main problem was the location, too far from anything to be a hotel I'd ever go back to. If one had a motorbike, and they only rented bicycles, the situation could be better. Still, if one just wanted to hang, at $17 a night, it was a pretty good value.

If you needed a spacious room w 2 double bed for a family ~ Sgd50/nite. I would say this is not a bad hotel. of coz if u r used to the 5 stars accommodation, it would be a letdown for fella sillyporean. come on...this is after all a pretty small town.. (rural to some). hotel staff tried their best to communicate in english w u. at least one of the guy speaks pretty little english...n can understd ur foreign accent. staffs are helpful. breakfast is after all.....I would say decent. ( do you silly farangs expect a full course of ur english bfast? for your lousy pennies?) c'mon..use ur common sense. room are clean. towels are plenty. if u need hair blower, just ask front desk. ( as well for anythg else for all those spoilt brats ). free wifi -- pretty gd. I would say its for a budget conscious folks --- its great place jazz from sillypore

Used the facilities of this hotel during our 800 Km bicycle ride from Nong Khai to Ubon Ratchathani. The hotel is situated outside the center of the city, adjacent to the Thai Lao Friendship Bridge. Tuk-Tuks are easy available to get to Tha Sadet, the river front with bars and restaurants (50 Baht/2 persons) or the main attractions in the city. We arrived early morning with the night train, but received immediately our rooms. The staff was friendly and gave us ground level, so we could secure our bicycles. The rooms were spacious with the classic set-up (air-conditioning, Thai-channel television, refrigerator), but rather average. The bathroom was fine, but as typical for Thailand, the shower is often installed in a not relevant location. Anyway room and bathroom were clean. On the premises is a small swimming pool, while drinks are kept in a large refrigerator outside. After a morning bike trip to Wat Phra That Bung Thuan we took lunch at the hotel and we can conclude that the food was not bad at all. The hotel caters for tour groups and as thus it can be very noisy and busy sometimes. Some of the breakfast tables were surprisingly right outside the rooms at the basement, which means no luck for long-sleepers. Free Wi-Fi available. In general good price/quality ratio. We got a good night rest. An additional tip: avoid dinner at the floating restaurant 12 Rasi, but go to Tha Sadet.
