There are so many reasons our stay at the Royan Hotel was a great experience. First, Servet and the front desk staff were great at communicating by email and WhatsApp before we arrived. Including arranging for transportation to and from the airport and reaching out when our plane was late arriving and suggesting tours and restaurants. He also provided a great orientation to the neighborhood on a map when we first arrived. Everything we asked for was provided with a smile. Second, the service at both restaurants was great. Two people really stood out for their great service and authentic welcome. Muammer greeted us every morning with a smile, remembered our preference for seating and made sure we got everything we wanted or needed. Ela was prompt and attentive and tried her hardest to understand us and get what we requested. Third, the food!! Servet encouraged us to try their main restaurant when we arrived and we wished we had listened to him sooner. The shepherds salad and Crispy chicken sandwich were great after three days of kabap and donner. AMERICANS, they have good American style ketchup!! for good fries and onion rings. The breakfast was good with something for everyone. Finally, our room was perfect with a view of the Bosphorus, more than enough room, and a very comfortable kings size bed. As you can see, we really liked the Royan Hotel. The only thing to be aware of is that you have walk up a very steep street and set of uneven stairs to get anywhere and then back down them to get back. Servet, Muammer, and Ela thank you for making our stay in Istanbul wonderful.

I rarely leave reviews anywhere, but this time was an exception. During my entire stay, I never regretted choosing this hotel. The staff was very friendly, and even though we had one problem, they resolved it immediately. Also, our flight arrived early in the morning, and we were checked in without any extra charges because the room was available. Everything about this hotel is amazing, the food is delicious, and the view from the terrace is simply incredible. I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely come back!

The rooms were lovely, clean, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Fatih and Inan were amazing and made sure we were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. They treated us like family. The hotels location was conveniently located near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Cisterns and market. It was next to the water and it was easy to walk down to the ferries, metro, and city center for us. We were able to walk everywhere easily. The hotel was quiet and the rooms clean. The employees cared about you as a human beings beyond just seeming nice because you’re staying at their establishment. All the employees were genuine and cared about how your stay was going and how the city was treating you. Inan and Fatih stuck out to be as exceptional employees as they were constantly checking in to make sure you were ok and the stay was going as planned. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Istanbul to stay at Royan Hagia Sophia. We had an excellent stay!
