“Very good for the price”

View from the balcony of Balaton was fabulous! Very friendly staff and good food! Best massage ever! Robert Price was refreshing! Great location with private beach area! Minimal amount of sand but beautifully landscaped!

Our family stayed only one night and overall our stay was pleasant. Negatives: one of our rooms had no air conditioning so we had to sleep with open windows, unfortunately the train station is on the other side of the entrance road and so are some very noisy cafes. Our family stayed only one night and overall our stay was pleasant. Negatives: one of our rooms had no air conditioning so we had to sleep with open windows, unfortunately the train station is on the other side of the entrance road and so are some very noisy cafes. There was no Wi-fi. The bathroom was VERY uncomfortable, a very high tub made it difficult to get in and out and there is no place to hold on, also the shower is located as high as your belly button. Very hard, huge pillow. The outside pool was our of service. Positive: Beautiful view of Lake Balaton which is only a few steps away. Very neat and clean. Easy access from the train station. Lots of parking places. Good food. Very friendly staff who even found a fan for us. Delicious massage pool, very refreshing!

“Not 3-star!”

The grounds and the outside of the buildings of the complex were very nice and so was the indoor and outdoor pool area. We really liked the onsite outside bar and the fact that the lake was 10 steps away. But we stayed in the building that hasn't been redecorated yet - patchy rugs, torn curtains an… lisää

The grounds and the outside of the buildings of the complex were very nice and so was the indoor and outdoor pool area. We really liked the onsite outside bar and the fact that the lake was 10 steps away. But we stayed in the building that hasn't been redecorated yet - patchy rugs, torn curtains and bedding the same age as the building (100 years?) didn't quite make us feel cosy and at home. No room service meant that the garbage was not taken out for the whole of our stay (unless we did it ourselves) - not the best if you are travelling with a baby who uses nappies. No air con meant that we had to keep the windows open - not the best option with the railway about 50 metres away. The breakfast was the same each morning, and very very far from a 3-star standard: there was no real juice, no fruit, no sweet pastry except a sliced one that was stale and dry. Dinners were OK, good choice options for the kids, too. We liked to sit outside and have a chat while the kids were playing at the enclosed playground. There is clearly an attempt here to make this hotel child-friendly, but they have a long way to go yet. For instance consider setting up a playroom in a room that accommodates more than 6 children.
