One of the best beach views in my experience in recent years. It feels so secluded being in the state park so going onto the beach feels private and serene. They are taking great care to preserve the natural landscape. Also the hotel itself is a dream, with two “shared” balconies on each floor with an ocean view, if you don’t stay in a room with an ocean view. The state park across the street is also immaculate. 10/10 stars, such a different experience from most beach hotels, in the BEST way.

“Gorgeous sunsets!”

We visited The Lodge in early March. The weather was great and so was The Lodge! What a beautiful and unique place. Every employee we encountered made us feel at home. We visited The Lodge in early March. The weather was great and so was The Lodge! What a beautiful and unique place. Every employee we encountered made us feel at home. We ate onsite and loved all of the food at their restaurants. They are almost finished with a new pool, which is going to be amazing! We will be coming back this summer for sure to watch every minute of those incredible sunsets!

“Good beachfront hotel”

This hotel has large trash cans in the rooms and that by itself is enough for me to give it 4 stars. The main lodge is cute, Foodcraft is great, the rooms are clean and pretty good sized. There is construction on the balcony side that faces the beach, but that is a temporary inconvenience. I'm not … lisää

This hotel has large trash cans in the rooms and that by itself is enough for me to give it 4 stars. The main lodge is cute, Foodcraft is great, the rooms are clean and pretty good sized. There is construction on the balcony side that faces the beach, but that is a temporary inconvenience. I'm not a fan of the $15 money grab for parking in a lot that they own when even the City of Gulf Shores is offering free parking during the off season, but that's the trend these days.

Just average. I was expecting to be impressed, and hoping to have lots of activities to do on-site, but there isn't. We traveled in the off season, but still hoped to enjoy the pool and ocean. Just average. I was expecting to be impressed, and hoping to have lots of activities to do on-site, but there isn't. We traveled in the off season, but still hoped to enjoy the pool and ocean. There are no cabanas by the ocean as pictured, and the pool was unheated and frigid. There was also major construction going on with the addition of a larger pool area. This wasn't disclosed anywhere when we booked. It was noisy, but only during the day. Food and beverages are VERY expensive, and the lodge holds you captive to eat there as it's not within walking distance of anything. There are also no in-room microwaves in case you want to warm up your leftovers. Also no guest laundry. The lobby area is really inviting and we enjoyed relaxing there. Overall, I expected more, and came to enjoy the ocean. That is your asset! I would have rented a cabana chair everyday i was there, if I could.
