“Great stay”

We only stayed here 1 night during our road trip but we would love to come back. Miss Betty made us feel especially welcome and is a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The biscuits and gravy are the best I’ve ever had.

Our vehicle unexpectedly broke down on our drive home from Orange Beach, AL to Louisville, KY. After being stranded on I-65 for an hour with two 8 year olds, and then a tow to the nearest service center, my husband and I were desperate for a nice, clean place to rest our heads while our vehicle was being serviced. This hotel and every single staff member were rock stars! Can’t say enough about their kindness, understanding and hospitality. We had to hangout in the lobby for a few hours after checkout, until our vehicle was ready. The staff kept our items safe and let us walk to a nearby restaurant for lunch. Top notch!!!

My husband and I, along with two grandchildren, recently had a fabulous stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Huntsville West - Research Park, Alabama. Our stay was from March 12 until March 16. We are in our 80’s and have traveled through 49 states staying at various lodgings. Usually on these stays there may be a few employees who are exceptional, but this hotel had only outstanding staff. We have never felt more welcomed and cared for. I was impressed when I called the front desk prior tour arrival and spoke with “Shalonda,” who answered my questions in a courteous and informative manner. Our request for a room near the elevator was met. Upon our arrival the desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. Our room was perfect. During our stay renovation was being done on the first floor. This large project was being handled without interfering with any guest services. Initially we were to leave on March 15, but severe weather was forecast throughout several states and we were uncertain about traveling home. I mentioned this to “Brenda,” and she went out of her way to assure us that we could decide about staying later closer to our departure. We were on the fourth floor and asked to be moved to the first floor due to our limited mobility in case the electricity would go off in the storm. She was most kind and moved us to a first floor room being renovated, but very near completion. Brenda checked on us daily, and we enjoyed our many conversations. Usually breakfast buffets are basically the same, but not at this hotel. The food was well prepared and Betty, the hostess, was exceptional!!! She made sure each and every one was taken care of. Betty circulated through the dining area, stopping at tables and greeting each person, offering her help. When we checked out, we felt like we were leaving friends. This is certainly an exceptional hotel with very dedicated and caring staff.

“Good hotel it is was not for Hwy 72 it would be great”

The Holiday Inn Express front staff was professional and helpful. Requested a different room and the front staff was accommodating. The room feels to have more space available than others. Breakfast is commendable for ' typical free' food. The staff ensure to keep the dining room clean the food… lisää

Breakfast is commendable for ' typical free' food. The staff ensure to keep the dining room clean the food stocked up. The only annoying is something the hotel can do anything about. The traffic on Hwy 72 on rush hour traffic was not expected, on the day we arrived, it was at 5 PM and we crawled to the street the hotel was on.
