Pros: 1) The location is good. 2). The front desk staff is pleasant. 3). The restaurant and coffee area is handy. 4). They had some unique entertainment available (a magician) upstairs while I was there. Cons: 1). There is no wifi in the rooms - you have to go to the public areas. 2) No A/C… lisää

There is no wifi in the rooms - you have to go to the public areas. 2) No A/C - I guess if you don't have a heat wave like we did in August you would be fine and this would be no issue.

I have stayed in the hotel not in the annex The hotel is well located, clean and well design BUT rooms are very small for American standards. There is no wifi available in the room! Customers have to go to the lobby to have access to wifi. How is it possible in a hotel in 2025! There is no fridge in the room. You can not use the bin in your room but you must carry your garbage in the lobby to use the selective sorting. The tv network is highly perfectible

“Overall OK”

Walked to hotel from Alaska State Ferry terminal without problems. "Deluxe room" was a small room with two full (not queen) beds, pretty tight fit for 3 people and their luggage. Comfortable beds but bedding too heavy for summer. No A/C but difficult to keep windows open due to road and train noise… lisää

Walked to hotel from Alaska State Ferry terminal without problems. "Deluxe room" was a small room with two full (not queen) beds, pretty tight fit for 3 people and their luggage. Comfortable beds but bedding too heavy for summer. No A/C but difficult to keep windows open due to road and train noise. Trains run right past the hotel and start sounding horns 6 AM or earlier. Small bathroom, tiny sink like ship's cabin, but functional. No fridge, used small ice bucket to keep a few things cold, worked OK. Public areas are nicely decorated and furnished and have wifi, spent some time there because no wifi in room. Chilkoot Cafe restaurant was good. Overall OK, you don't have a lot of choice in this town, which mostly thrives in summer on cruise ships (4 huge ships per day that leave at night). July 3rd fireworks was fun - not a typo, they do fireworks on July 3 here, and in a lot of AK towns from what I understand.
