“Great Stay”

Very clean & quiet room, confortable beds. Everything in the room works, staff friendly & helpful. Overall great inn, with some personality & lovely common areas.

“Room is great except for the WET DOG SMELL”

This is a great place except for the smell of the room. It smells like wet dog. We had to keep the balcony door open to try to get rid of some of the smell. There's no breakfast. This is a great place except for the smell of the room. It smells like wet dog. We had to keep the balcony door open to try to get rid of some of the smell. There's no breakfast. We walked next door to Denny's for breakfast. The shower head needed replaced in room 212. It sprayed so wide that It wouldn't wash the shampoo out of my hair. The drain also needs cleaned in the shower. The tub fills up with water. The blond haired lady at the front desk was very nice.

“Excellent Rooms But Smoking Allowed on Patios/Balconies”

We had never stayed at this motel, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The front desk staff were both friendly and helpful, and the room was large and nicely refurbished. We had never stayed at this motel, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The front desk staff were both friendly and helpful, and the room was large and nicely refurbished. We had a two-queen bedroom with an armchair (I believe the king rooms have a small couch), a large desk, and a luggage table. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and while cramped, the vanity is outside of the shower and toilet, which is nice when two are getting ready. There were plenty of fluffy towels along with nice tubes of toiletries. We didn't use the breakfast coupon as we needed to get on the road, but guests can pick up their coupons the morning of departure, and they are valid for two different "value" breakfasts. The staff warned us, though, that despite their efforts, the restaurant will charge for drinks, including coffee, but there is a Keurig in the room and coffee is available in the lobby. The grounds are lovely, and we were excited to have a patio (all rooms face the lawn/pool courtyard and have a patio or balcony) — that is, until we tried to sit outside and realized smoking was permitted, as a lidded ashtray was on the table, complete with some leftover butts. Then we noticed a guest was smoking above us, and we had to go inside and close the door to escape the smoke. I'm not sure we'll stay there again, as it's frustrating to have to keep our doors closed to prevent smoke from coming inside the room. That's the reason I dropped the rating to 3 stars instead of 5. Other than that, it's a great place.
