We stayed at the Residence Inn Bangor for one night before a flight home. The hotel was convenient enough for our purposes, and our room was clean and comfortable. No acknowledgement of my Marriott elite status other than “you can grab two bottles of water from the market.” I booked with points, and our room overlooked the roof and mechanical area (maybe AC?). Sound may bother some, but we had a comfortable night’s sleep. Included breakfast was good, and there was plenty of seating. The surprise was the restaurant attached to the hotel, Timber. It was fantastic. If staying at this hotel, plan to eat at Timber.

I would like to compliment the outstanding team at the Residence Inn in Bangor, Maine. This is truly a five-star hotel experience, starting with the manager, David, and the exceptional night auditor, Ryan, along with the entire staff. Their service is consistently professional, warm, and respectful toward guests. A 5 Star experience in Maine ! Every time I stay here, the hotel is spotlessly clean, everything smells fresh, and the property is clearly very well maintained. The equipment works properly, the rooms are comfortable, and the beds are excellent — making it easy to get a good night’s rest. What stands out most is the hospitality and the pride the team clearly takes in their work. It makes a real difference for guests, especially for those of us who travel frequently. Thank you to David, Ryan, and the entire crew for maintaining such a high standard and creating such a welcoming environment

“A special treat when getting treatment nearby”

A couple of times my husband and I have tacked on a "date night" here, including dinner at the recommended attached restaurant, Timber, when we've had early or late medical appointments. It's less than a ten minute drive to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center from the hotel. Mixing pleasure… lisää

A couple of times my husband and I have tacked on a "date night" here, including dinner at the recommended attached restaurant, Timber, when we've had early or late medical appointments. It's less than a ten minute drive to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center from the hotel. Mixing pleasure with essential errands enhances our lives and eliminates the stress and peril of driving on dark , often icy, roads from an hour away. Hotel staff we encountered were all tops for friendliness as we as proficiency. The rooms are well laid out and loaded with comforts. Definitely recommend for business or pleasure and especially for a mix of the two.

The neighborhood of this location of the Residence Inn was transitional. The front desk host mentioned it was just a 5 minute walk for us to walk to a nearby brewery. The neighborhood of this location of the Residence Inn was transitional. The front desk host mentioned it was just a 5 minute walk for us to walk to a nearby brewery. I'm glad we didn't take that recommendation. The next day we drove around the neighborhood and noticed that we as two 70-year-olds did not need to be walking around that area in the evening. The hotel was convenient for our day trip to Acadia. This Marriott property was fine and met our basic needs. I have two suggestions for Marriott, however: (1) please upgrade the quality of in room coffee. (2) replace the rolled oats oatmeal with steel cut oatmeal -- the rolled oats are pasty.
