It was a lovely stay for my husbands birthday. Ken, the person behind the counter, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for. From helping me find an address to give to uber to offering excellent restaurants, he constantly met my needs with a smile and an offering hand. Josh, the valet, also went above and beyond to make sure our stay was extra special. It made a wonderful weekend even more exceptional.

Great stay at your hotel thank you! Kaiton was terrific with handling and organizing all of needs! From desk staff to bar service and food and the valet service all were very accommodating!! As well as being a great location!!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Live Oak during our visit to Charleston. We were there for his birthday! The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is great (close to the visitor center), and the rooms exceeded our expectations. They were spacious, thoughtfully designed and featured ambient cove lighting that gave the entire room a warm, luxurious feel. The stone tiled bathroom made me feel like a million bucks! Every detail felt upscale without being pretentious. One feature we especially appreciated was the pool. With the Charleston summer heat, it was the perfect place to cool off after a day of exploring. From what we heard, having a pool at a downtown Charleston hotel isn’t all that common, so it was a huge bonus. The standout employee of our stay, though, was Kyle. He wasn’t just an exceptional bartender, he was one of the coolest, funniest and most genuine people we met during our trip. His recommendations for local bars and places to explore led us to some of our favorite experiences in Charleston. His positive attitude, incredible work ethic and genuine love for taking care of guests made every visit to the bar a major highlight of our day. Live Oak is lucky to have someone like Kyle on their team!! Another unexpected highlight was Tracer Coffee, located right inside the hotel. The people running it told us the coffee comes directly from their family’s farm in South America, where the beans are grown and shipped to the U.S. Every drink recommendation they made for us was outstanding! My husband said the pour-over coffee was the best cup he’d ever had. Trust me, try it! Live Oak gave us an experience we’ll remember long after our trip is over. We can’t wait to return and will happily recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston

“We would stay here again.”

We liked this hotel. Everything is pretty much new. Our room was good sized and very comfortable and clean. Our only criticism is that the restaurant doesn’t stay open past 9:00. We asked for a table at 8:56 and was told they were closed. But there’s a great bar across the street (Bedford Falls). … lisää

We liked this hotel. Everything is pretty much new. Our room was good sized and very comfortable and clean. Our only criticism is that the restaurant doesn’t stay open past 9:00. We asked for a table at 8:56 and was told they were closed. But there’s a great bar across the street (Bedford Falls). Also, they have AED but no AED inside the box. The staff was friendly but not especially outgoing.
