Thank you for a lovely stay at Hotel Marcel. This historic and very interesting looking building is totally modernized and immaculate in every way. It took me a day or so to learn to use the room's control panel, which controls the lights and shades, and I believe the thermostat (which wasn't an issue for us in early May). Our room had a lovely view of the water, which I would recommend if possible. Luis was very helpful even as we were making our hotel reservation, as my son is a special needs person and we had a lot of questions about what we would need. Once we arrived he and everyone was so courteous and patient with us. The restaurant is open and airy, and the food was beautifully prepared and served with kindness and a smile. Andrew was particularly gallant in helping us out, also Abby. Lucky for us the hotel is just a few minutes by cab from Union Station. They also have a van and are happy to take guests to locations within a five mile radius, which was a great help to us as we were getting around New and East Haven. Gabe and (again) Luis were always at the ready when we needed to get somewhere. Hopefully one day we'll return to the area and have another chance to stay at Hotel Marcel.

“Modern Stay”

This property is a repurposed building and they did a really nice job with it. Very well laid out. Upgraded as a Hilton Diamond members to a large corner room. The light controls and thermostat is all controlled by a tablet mounted near the door. This took a few minutes to figure out. Sun shad… lisää

This property is a repurposed building and they did a really nice job with it. Very well laid out. Upgraded as a Hilton Diamond members to a large corner room. The light controls and thermostat is all controlled by a tablet mounted near the door. This took a few minutes to figure out. Sun shades are all remote controlled next to the bed as well as light switches. Bathroom counter was surpriaingly small for a large room. This may be challenging for parties of more than 1. Breakfast was very good and seemed very "farm to table" like. I would return here if in the area again.

“Neat hotel but the doors are loud”

We enjoyed our stay but didn't get the best sleep. We had a room number ending in 02, room 01 door faces our door at an angle and if they open and shut their door loudly over and over until midnight, you can hear it clear as day. We enjoyed our stay but didn't get the best sleep. We had a room number ending in 02, room 01 door faces our door at an angle and if they open and shut their door loudly over and over until midnight, you can hear it clear as day. I do not recommend choosing an 02 room for this reason. The blinds are neat but the blackout left a huge gap that created the room to not be blacked out. The room was cool though and very high tech. Shower was nice. Gym was nice. The location was great.
