“Really nice hotel but far away from the action”

The Fox Tower is one of the nicer hotels at Foxwoods (and certainly the newest). The rooms are very clean, they smell good, and overall it is a nice stay. The Fox Tower is one of the nicer hotels at Foxwoods (and certainly the newest). The rooms are very clean, they smell good, and overall it is a nice stay. Ask for a view of the woods and a high floor for an unforgettable view! Unfortunately it is a little confusing where to check in and go. The lobby is quite a walk from the hotel elevators, and you're going to walk quite a ways to find it from the parking garage. The lobby has an EXTREMELY LONG check-in line because there are only a few staff members who are incredibly slow at checking people in. We did notice there are self-serve kiosks at the bell hop desk - you just need to enter your reservation# and information, scan your license, and swipe your credit card, to get an instantly-printed key card - SO MUCH MORE convenient than waiting in line for 30+ minutes. The hotel unfortunately does not have an indoor pool, only a spa which is pricy to enter. There is room service available but it is limited and not a larger menu like the other hotels. The hotel is really nice overall but it's part of the smallest casino section of Foxwoods. If you want to leave the Fox Tower casino area, you have a significant walk (10+ minutes) down a quite boring / nothing path to get to the other side of the casino where all the action is - bars, restaurants, and the bigger casinos. The only thing that is really at the Fox casino is the Center Bar, the poker room, a couple of small shops, and one theater, as well as one entrance to the Tanger Outlets. It is also close to the go-karting facility. (A night club Shrine used to be there but they closed). Not a lot happening. If your main goal is to go to the Tanger outlets, go karts, Center Bar, or something else that is located at the fox area, then it is definitely worth a stay. If you plan on spending time at the other side of the casino, you are better off staying at the Great Cedar or Grand Pequot hotel simply due to the amount of walking you'll have to do back to the Fox Tower.

“Newly Renovated Rooms Disapointed”

My wife and I frequent the Fox tower for overnight stays. Last weekend we were received a free overnight king room. My wife and I frequent the Fox tower for overnight stays. Last weekend we were received a free overnight king room. While making the online reservation we were offered a renovated king room for a $49.00 upcharge. I accepted the offer. The renovated room was to me disappointing. The renovation included a new carpet, wall coverings not bad, newer furniture with stone tops, a wall mounted TV. They also provided accent lighting which I thought was a good improvement. The headboard had accent lighting against the wall as well as the TV wall frame. Both end tables also has accent lighting at the base. Not Bad. The shower now provides pump bottles of soaps and shampoos. The big disappointment was the king bed. It was very low to the floor. Same type bed used in handicap rooms. The rug needed to be vacuumed and overall to me was not worth the upcharge. We like the Fox tower and will continue to stay there but not the renovated rooms for $49.00
