If you’re looking for a place in Estes park, look no further, this is your place. We stayed 3 nights at The Appenzel Inn. It had a lovely chateau/lodge like feel. We were greeted in the office by friendly folks and given the bad news that we’d have to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs because the elevator had to be fixed the next day. (This was the reason I had requested a room on the first floor, a cheap room, old people don’t want to do that). They made it apparent that we’d been given a complementary upgrade so we decided to go with it and complain about it later. We were given the ‘Suite Heart’ room a suite, with lovely little breakfast nook, kitchen with large frig, dishes, microwave, dishwasher heart shaped jet tub, fireplace. SO COMFORTABLE. And EVERYTHING WORKED. The next day they even fixed the elevator so we got to leave in style and comfort too, even though we wanted to stay for: S’more night, every night Cozy fire pits to eat or chill at. Games for those who wanted to play 4 square, bean bag toss, etc. Breakfast was fabulous Bed was very nice (full moon hit us in the eye and woke us up, it was so bright) Everything about that place said ‘get up start your day’ Definitely family friendly. We’re not sure but don’t think we saw pets. Coffee in the room, then our building had its own Keurig coffee to make one for the road, and a bottle fill station. 2 pools: one indoor, one outdoor one hot tub. (Not sure but appeared to be like 2 separate hotels: the motel side with the outdoor pool, and the hotel Appenzel side with the indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, but we never used the pools or hot tub cuz we had one in our room so shouldn’t talk about it)

“Wonderful experience”

Such a wonderful place with our own kitchenette, king bed, pullout and private seating outside. It was amazing and perfect getaway for us so we could celebrate my husband's birthday. Room was just as their photos showed and as described. Outstanding accommodations!!

I felt very safe traveling alone in this hotel. There were lots of families with small children. Not exactly a quiet retreat, but I didn’t mind. The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The room was a bit dated in decore and I could not access any streaming services on the tv. There a… lisää

I felt very safe traveling alone in this hotel. There were lots of families with small children. Not exactly a quiet retreat, but I didn’t mind. The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The room was a bit dated in decore and I could not access any streaming services on the tv. There are dvds and board games in the lobby. The room did have a cozy gas fireplace which was nice.overall I would stay again.

“Nice stay in Estes Park”

The was clean and the beds comfortable.Location good and staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was really pretty good and providing free snacks for people spending the day in the park was a real plus. However the downside was that the room was really pretty small.
