Nice clean room, EXCELLENT water pressure (appreciate that VERY much), fridge, microwave… everything that I need is in the room. In addition to that, the breakfast is pretty good as well. Reasonable price. I truly enjoyed my stay 👍, will definitely book again

Drove down from NJ to meet our life long relocated friends from FL. We decided to stay outside of Charleston proper and chose the HIE in North Charleston. Drove down from NJ to meet our life long relocated friends from FL. We decided to stay outside of Charleston proper and chose the HIE in North Charleston. The location was right off Rt. 26 (route to Charleston) and convenient to shopping. The accessible room on the first floor was terrific, plenty of room to navigate a wheelchair and the rolling shower was great. The king bed was comfortable and finally, a motel with full size pillows. The breakfast room was immaculate and well maintained and the offerings were quite sumptuous: Eggs, two types of sausage, oatmeal ( no grits), biscuits, gravy, bagels etc. the girls who serviced the breakfast area were wonderful, I don’t understand why more people don’t tip these servers, they certainly deserve a $$$ tip and should receive one. The four of us toured during the day and after dinner played some cards in the breakfast room. We enjoyed the wonderful city and all the history we took away from it. I would definitely return to this location and highly recommend anyone else who plans a 4/5 day trip to Charleston to stay here as well. Cudos to the desk staff, very helpful and friendly.

To be fair, this hotel was undergoing renovations. Our room was not yet renovated, but was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfy….also quieter than I would have expected.The reason for only 4 stars is that the coffee was truly terrible. We picked this hotel because it was next to the Ice Palace my son was competing at in the late summer. Not only was it real close, it was a nice comfortable place to stay and had a real nice outdoor pool that made it nicer. We picked this hotel because it was next to the Ice Palace my son was competing at in the late summer. Not only was it real close, it was a nice comfortable place to stay and had a real nice outdoor pool that made it nicer. My wife like it here, the beds and room were comfortable, the coffee was good and it was quite here. There was a little refrigerator and microwave in the room and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was decent and I really like their pool We would stay here again if back in the area.
