Patrick and Coach Wayne...and the owner himself...really welcomed us...we travel on a bike and they always welcome us here! First, whether u book a cottage or an rv trailer...expect it to be clean and well maintained! The place has such charm with the amusement park ride animals plus the tropical plants and trees...u are literally just off US 1 and u feel like youre in paradise...cause u are. For the ladies, my wife has thick hair...and always complains about water pressure...not here...even the water pressure in the shower is great. The staff really is what makes this place perfect...and u can tell the owner expects them to go out of their way to make your visit special...and they succeed in providing a great experience. Its located near several good restaurants...the high tide is across the road for breakfast...by the way...the coffee at sunset cove is fantastic. Its an easy drive to places like theater by the see...the turtle hospital or even a day trip to key west...and this is much quieter and affordable. I could go on but really...if u want a clean and updated room...a beautiful private beach to relax...and top grade customer service experience....rare anymore...then look for the Swan and the special rates today sign and pull right in, Oh...and motorcycle visitors...very accommodating to riders too! Perfect for singles.....couples...familes....

“Hidden Gem! Dog friendly”

My boyfriend and I traveled by car from Ontario to the Keys with our two golden retrievers. We are both 37 years old. I found out about this place on bringfido.com and am thankful I did. When looking for over 2 weeks for places to stay I was almost about ready to give up. Some hotels were $600 USD +resort fee+pet fee+parking for one night. We found this place incredibly reasonable. Originally I booked 2 nights and ended up calling back and booking 2 additional nights. The first two nights we stayed in the beach house cottage. It is very close to the water, has everything you need. The cottage had a sink, cupboards, a fridge and small dining table. The second two nights were spent in cottage number 2. This one had two beds and a small kitchen as well. The cottages have everything you need, especially for a long term stay. Every morning under the tiki hut close to the office they provide coffee, juice and packaged pastries. The resort is located right on the bay, has calm water and has a large dock. People were fishing off the dock and during my stay we saw stingrays, crabs, shells, etc. The location of the resort is located right off a busy highway, it can be loud at night. It is in walking distance to lots of places especially the cvs across the street which came in handy when my boyfriend came down with the flu the last evening. There is a restaurant directly next door called the Bayside Inn, we had plans to try but were so busy we never got around to it. Key Largo fisheries, the Key Lime Pie Factory and Shell world are all a short drive away. If we ever travel back to the Keys we will stay here again. We met lots of people who are regulars that stay here. The resort never felt busy and everyone gathered to watch the sunset at night. The only reason I would give this a 4 star is because of the noise of the busy highway might deter some people, we did not mind. The staff were all super friendly and helpful.

“Relaxing stay at a well-run small scale waterfront resort”

Recently stayed 5 nights at Sunset Cove Beach Resort. Location is excellent, waterfront on (I think) Buttonwood Sound, with a small, but nicely maintained sandy beach area with plenty of loungers. Recently stayed 5 nights at Sunset Cove Beach Resort. Location is excellent, waterfront on (I think) Buttonwood Sound, with a small, but nicely maintained sandy beach area with plenty of loungers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is deep enough that the units furthest from busy US 1 are not noisy. Rooms closest to US 1 would experience more noise. We stayed 4 nights in Tiki and one night in Unit 9. Both rooms were very clean with reasonably well equipped kitchenettes, including full size refrigerator, coffee maker with filters included, and stove/oven plus microwave. Dishes and silverware are adequate but not overwhelming. Bath towels are nice and thick, clean and changed daily. Continental breakfast each morning featured good coffee, OJ, and prepackaged pastries. We used the kitchen to prepare our own breakfasts and sat outside to eat at the patio table/chairs provided. TV had cable programming plus streaming services. The best amenity was free use of kayaks and paddle boards! Free WiFi was also included but seemed a bit slow.
