We stayed three nights and had a good experience. Our little cottage was clean, but dated. The room has so much potential and with just a little update could be perfect. The king bed was very comfortable and your view is beautiful! The bathroom has a huge walk in shower that was wonderful. It would have been nice to maybe have a small cafe table and chairs in the room. The property was well kept and the small beach was very nice. The staff was warm and welcoming. We had our bikes and the location is perfect to get to restaurants. Five were in close walking distance. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would most definitely stay there again.

“Good and bad”

Actually 3 1/2. We have been here 3 nights and will stay 3 more, but so far the takeaways…. We opted to stay in the Sailaway Suite…101… which has a view of the beach and water. Lovely sunsets so far. So here are the goods. As stated in previous reviews…the front staff are awesome! Very help… lisää

Actually 3 1/2. We have been here 3 nights and will stay 3 more, but so far the takeaways…. We opted to stay in the Sailaway Suite…101… which has a view of the beach and water. Lovely sunsets so far. So here are the goods. As stated in previous reviews…the front staff are awesome! Very helpful. The parking is right next to the room. The shower, once adjusted, is very good. The king size bed is very comfortable. The front enclosed patio is nice to sit in when it’s warm and eat. The seating is comfortable. Outside beach and decks are well supplied with places to sit to enjoy the beautiful setting or sunset. On the downside. 1. Not very private…our room is a passage way for other guests on both back and front sides. At night, if we don’t close the pull drapes…we feel like we are in a fishbowl. 2. The room is long with the width cut in two for the Roseatte room next door. That wall is thin…enough said. 3. The bathroom is about the same size as the ones you get on cruises but with less places to put your things….really need some shelves for personal products. 4. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH LIGHT!! This is true in both the bedroom area and living room/eating area. Can hardly see our clothes in the closet and in the suitcase that is by the bathroom on a luggage rack. Also, there is one unattached light in the eating area that could help in that area if it were attached to a light switch…(we looked everywhere). 5. The kitchen area is not supplied with needed things….there are no serving bowls or platters and no HOTPADS!! We made do with what they gave us…(still the front desk personnel did try to accommodate us by giving us more kitchen towels). Another annoyance is having to use disposable plastic glasses. Really need plastic glasses for juice included in the cupboard. Also, please note that there is no oven! I asked some other guests and they also remarked about a lack of any kind of oven. 6. The daily cleaning is hit and miss. Our bed hasn’t been made yet, Except for one day so far, the towels have been replaced and the trash emptied. Not sure about the floors or cleaning of the bathroom. 7. The internet is also hit and miss. Everytime using the internet, one has to sign on and sometimes in the middle of a session I got kicked off the internet. Will update this after our last three days

“Nice surprise!”

This place was a great surprise! From the outside it looked like a historic Florida set of cabins. We were pleasantly surprised to find a charming,clean,comfortable cabin with almost everything we needed! Kitchen had cook top, microwave, pots, dishes and utensils. This place was a great surprise! From the outside it looked like a historic Florida set of cabins. We were pleasantly surprised to find a charming,clean,comfortable cabin with almost everything we needed! Kitchen had cook top, microwave, pots, dishes and utensils. Beds were comfortable and it was well furnished. There was even a table outside. We loved using the kayaks and met some resident manatees. The Bay area had lots of comfortable chairs and even a hammock plus 3 docks for fishing or just sitting. We felt so relaxed and the people who worked there were all so nice. The only thing missing was a hair dryer. We would definitely go back!

“Both good and bad experiences in one stay”

When booking, make sure to ask for the exact location of your cottage! We booked for a five night stay and were assigned a noisy little cottage right by the highway— didn’t sleep at all the first night. The next day we asked to upgrade to a cottage near the water and it was like a different, wonder… lisää

When booking, make sure to ask for the exact location of your cottage! We booked for a five night stay and were assigned a noisy little cottage right by the highway— didn’t sleep at all the first night. The next day we asked to upgrade to a cottage near the water and it was like a different, wonderful resort! Sadly we were charged an “upgrade fee” of 150 dollars (even thought the more expensive cottages were vacant) in addition to paying the expected higher fee for the nicer cottages. Overall, a great location — we walked to dinner at different restaurants each night, used free kayaks to see manatees, and enjoyed the beach. We did a nice day trip to Key West one day. I would stay here again, but only in the waterfront cottages.
