I like to say the whole staff was great. Including the front desk staff. Also Damion kept up with the whole hotel being very clean. He swept, mopped, and kept up with picking up the garbage from the hallways. Big shout out to him and the rest of the staff.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I was greeted and checked in by Maggie, who was so pleasant and welcoming. When I entered my room, I discovered that there was a fairly significant issue, so I went back down to the desk. Maggie dealt with the issue in a thoroughly professional manner, as well as being extremely sensitive to my concerns, and quickly resolved the problem. I really appreciate the way she handled the issue.

My sister and I stayed here November 16-19, 2025 during a visit to see our Dad who lives in Largo. The hotel was a nice convenient location for us. It was an overall good stay. Each of our rooms was nice, looked pretty updated and was clean. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive. There was a problem during check-in where they mistakenly assigned me a room that was in the middle of having some work done to it but the issue was resolved very quickly. The included breakfast was very good and offered a very broad range of choices, so just about everyone should be able to find something they like. It was nice to have breakfast right there and not have to bother with getting in the car to go somewhere to eat every morning. There are train tracks right next to the hotel and a train rumbled through every morning at about 8:10-8:15am, it was loud and would probably wake most people up but we were already awake by this time each morning so it wasn't a bother to us. If we were trying to sleep in later this might've been a noteworthy annoyance for us. The room costs were competitive for the area and having the breakfast included every morning when other places did not was a big plus and added value. We did not use the swimming pool while we were there but it looked nice when we took a peek at it. It was an overall good experience staying here and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we take another trip down to the Largo area.

Overall, I would rate this Holiday Inn Express in Largo 3 out of 5. The best part of the stay was the room itself. Overall, I would rate this Holiday Inn Express in Largo 3 out of 5. The best part of the stay was the room itself. It was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower had excellent water pressure. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The weaker points were the breakfast, the pool and the soundproofing. Breakfast was very basic and not especially good for vegetarians. It was the usual self-service setup with paper plates, eggs, bacon and potatoes, plus oatmeal, yoghurt, and toast. There was a pancake machine, but it was broken for the three days we were there. Overall it felt average at best, and you eat in the lobby area, which also adds to the budget feel. The pool is very small and feels a little like an afterthought. It sits in the shade of the hotel for most of the day, which might be welcome in the middle of summer, but in March it made for quite a cold swim. The water was not heated. The biggest issue for me was the lack of soundproofing between adjoining rooms. Our room had a connecting door to the next one and I could hear the people beside me so clearly it felt like they were in the room. I asked to move after the first night. I was told the carpet had been removed and that this had left a gap under the connecting door. The suggested solution was to roll up towels and place them at the base of the door. To be fair, that did help, but in a modern hotel guests really should not have to do that. There are practical positives. There is plenty of parking, it is close to lots of shops, very near Walmart and convenient if you are visiting the Encompass Rehabilitation Centre. There is also a train track right next door, with a train passing maybe twice a day, which was actually a little interesting rather than a major annoyance. There is also a small gym. For food nearby, Benedict’s around the corner is a much better breakfast option, and the Sports Shack up the road is a good place to go for a beer. So overall, this hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff were good, but for around $220 a night I expected more. In another city, this would feel more like a $100 hotel. Good room, but the average breakfast, cold pool and poor soundproofing pulled it down.
