Sometimes attention to a small detail tells one a lot. This motel pre-chilled its ice pitcher in the fridge. My first stay at Candlewood Suits, Melbourne FL has made it my go-to lodging for future trips. So maybe it's not, technically, what I would call a "suite", because the kitchen was not in a separate room. But it was a kitchen: full-size refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, microwave, stovetop with two burners, dishwasher, and countertop prep space. Now, you can get a microwave and mini-fridge just about anywhere. But, as has often happened to me, will you thaw your microwave dinner in and then realize you don't have a fork with which to eat it? Or remember while you are in the grocery store, but have no option but a whole box of plastic forks. If you want milk and cereal for breakfast, will you have a bowl for it? Mattress was comfortable, room was clean, climate control worked easily and precisely. Full bathtub, not just a shower. Pop, snacks, heatable sandwiches, and even ice cream for sale in lobby was priced at standard grocery store prices. If you want a larger selection, there's a Dollar General a mile away and a Wal-Mart a few minutes drive. Very friendly and helpful desk staff. And room rate was quite moderate. Granted, I was there in low season; but room rates all move in tandem with the calendar, so I'm pretty confident that this room will be a high value throughout the year.

I stayed here during Hurricane Ian for work. I was pleasantly surprised by how large my room was, and especially thrilled with the in-room kitchen! I stayed here during Hurricane Ian for work. I was pleasantly surprised by how large my room was, and especially thrilled with the in-room kitchen! Full size fridge, two stovetop burners, a dish washer, a sink with soap and detergent, etc. The gym was also spacious and had 3 cardio machines plus a washer dryer room (your rooms had laundry detergent). The staff was nice and accommodating to all guests. The bathroom was large and the bed was super comfortable. I was VERY pleased with my stay and do recommend it.

I was delighted to discover that our suite actually had 2 stovetop burners in the kitchenette, as well as pots and dishware! I was getting ready to boil some pasta for dinner and couldn't get the cooktop to work. I called the front desk, someone came to inspect it, and in just a few minutes we were moved to another room down the hall. I asked for a late check-out and got that without a problem, so here I am typing up reviews for Trip Advisor! Even though this hotel is located right next to the expressway and our room faced that direction, there was no road noise.
